A bit of exciting news from the desks of Trion Worlds and Guinness World Records: the hit MMORPG Rift: Planes of Telara has officially set the world record for the most in-game marriages within a 24-hour period. The official count was recorded and confirmed between 9 AM PST February 14th and 9 AM PST February 15th.

The official count for in-game marriages for Rift on Valentine's was 21,879. Guinness World Records will log the marriage count, and the record is to be considered for inclusion in the 2013 edition of the gamer's edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. The team behind Rift is especially excited about this record, calling it a "monumental achievement".
