NCsoft is proud to announce that as of today, the pre-purchase program for the highly anticipated game Guild Wars 2 has officially launched. Those players who pre-purchase the game (in one of its various versions) will have guaranteed access to beta events, as well as a three-day headstart prior to the full launch of the game. Additionally, players who pre-purchase any version of Guild Wars 2 will also receive an in-game item, the Hero's Band.

The versions of Guild Wars 2 available for pre-purchase now are the Standard/Digital Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the Collector's Edition. Each version comes with its own special little bonuses, each being one step above the prior, with Collector's edition being the best available. The Collector's Edition includes booklets, the soundtrack CD, custom art frame, plus some other collectibles.
