The open beta test of Heatwave Interactive's Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising begins today and extends through June 12th, 2011. For six days, players can immerse themselves into a world of Roman myth and legend as they help Heatwave bang out any showstopper bugs ahead of the commercial release.

Players have access to four classes, "dramatic" combat, personal estates, and 14 levels of gameplay during the open beta. Players can also pre-order the game to join the so-called "head start" program allowing them to play a week ahead of the commercial launch.
