The final weekend for gPotato's hot MMORPG Flyff's championship tournament has finally come to a close, with exciting results! The US teams, SOD and Invictus, defeated all challengers and faced each other in the final match, with a fantastic prize up for grabs: $50,000, some unique in-game armor, and a trip to Korea to meet the Flyff developers and attend GStar 2011, an enormous games convention in Korea.

And who took home the prize? None other than Invictus. Having won 5 out of the 6 PvP matches, Invictus can look forward to their prizes. But SOD isn't being left out by any means; they will be taking home $20,000 and some unique armor for their participation in the Flyff World Championship.

As a celebration of sorts, the Flyff team announced that the new expansion to the game will be entering open beta on October 28th. The update will revise the loot drop system and bring a plethora of new quests, dungeons, and zones for Flyff players to enjoy.
