Here's a new one. The folks at alaplaya are hosting a cosplay event for Florensia. Although we'd imagine most of our readers are familiar with cosplay, for those that aren't cosplay involves creating and donning a costume of a particular anime or game character. Alaplaya opens the announcement by asking if "Florensia is your favorite MMO" but we suspect they'll take your submission even if you have another favorite.

The terms are pretty simple:

• Only outfits, headgear, mounts, and effects (no weapons)
• Participants must include a documentary on the outfit creation
• Images must be high quality
• Costumes must clearly represent the character
• Entries must be received by June 30th.

The top prize for EU residents is killer - an Apple iPad 2. Non-EU residents still get a pretty nice bonus - a $500 Amazon.com credit. Not a bad deal for you Florensia players.
