Sony Online Entertainment has just introduced the latest update for their hit MMO DC Universe Online. The update, which is titled "The Fate of the Fortress", is the second phase of a three part raid against Brainiac, as he attempts to use Krypton's technology to destroy the earth.

The update brings a mass of features, including an eight-man raid inside of the Fortress of Solitude, a bunch of new gear and loot, a new PvP map, a hard mode for HIVE Alert, and a new dueling gameplay mode. The update is free of charge to all active DC Universe Online PC and PS3 subscribers.
