Game isn't good at all, if you consider the hacking. The game stays fun and enjoyable up until u hit lvl cap and get all the good stuff. After awhile some ppl get hacked and unable to restart, due to the fact that they made it that u get a penalty doing lower lvl dungeons. What's worse is that the community that gets hacked leaves, and new unexpecting players come in and the cycle repeats. Rarely any players last a long time, and those who do are those who don't deal with getting hacked and the bad side of the game. If NA Nexon was able to prevent hacking of accounts and something, it would be nice, but they don't have the ability according their terms of service to help those hacked or even track down hackers cuz they can't do anything unauthorized -w-. Plus they aren't taking care of the problems well and continuously put emergency maintenances as if ppl are trying to shut the game down on them. The good part of the game is the customization and treating the characters as dress up dolls for our amusement and trying to think up new combinations of clothes, tattooes, make up, underwear and dyes! I quit the game when I lost all my sets, my 30M, my +10 weapon enchanted, all my dyes were taken, and my poor characters on my account deleted. Kind of an extreme way to hack an account, but not like Nexon cares. Seems like the best way to prevent this is to change passwords every month and don't type it, but copy and paste from a word document, or on something external so it doesnt get keylogged. I would recommend this game for those who have the money and free time to put into this game and able to drop more money to get back up if they get hacked.

PvP is out, but it doesn't seem to be rewarding, since nobody's playing it.
On the other hand, Nexon is being stupid with those IP blocks, and lag is still a common issue between players.
Anyhow, the experience itself is very very nice, fast-paced, immersive, beautiful, and sometimes skill-demanding.

Unique gameplay, gets repetitive easily

ShoutenM - 08-10-2011

In love with this game, it's a really fun and interesting experience.

OOq - 06-09-2011

Love this game. :3 I think the only thing I dislike about it is that their isn't very many hairstyles for players that don't pay for the hairstyles with real money. And it mainly focuses on dungeons.

Vindictus was fun, I remember desperately searching for a key for closed beta. The game was not as great as I expected, but it was very refreshing since I had been playing Mabinogi for so many years.

Thank you Vindictus! You have pulled me away from Lunia which I've been playing the last 3 years, and am getting bored of! This is kind of a change for me since I usually only play anime ish type online games, but Vindictus is so awesome it doesn't really matter.

System: Vindictus CANNOT run on an old computer no matter what. You must have a half way current computer to be able to run it. You can set the graphics low so it doesn't need as much hardware requirements supposedly though~

Gameplay: This game is fun! Yes sometimes you have to run the same dungeon many times and it can get repetitive, but I still enjoy it. The controls are pretty easy to learn, you can either use the keyboard+mouse or just the keyboard. I use the keyboard+mouse, you use the WASD keys to move and the mouse to aim, the left and right buttons to attack, and 1~5 at the top to use potions, revival feathers, (for Evie, her spells), and the F key to use your secondary weapon (spears, bombs, etc)

Sound: The sound is amazing in this game. When a bomb explodes next to you, the sound is muted like you were right there and you lose your hearing for a few seconds. As for the soundtrack....there's not really one at all, which is kind of disappointing. They do have music that plays during the boss fights, but you don't really pay all that much attention to it.

Graphics: The graphics in this game ARE AMAZING, even with the lower settings it still looks pretty good.

PvP: They haven't put pvp in the english version yet so I can't comment on this~

Features: This game is set before the other game called Mabinogi (they changed this game's name from Mabinogi: Heroes to vindictus so the kids wouldn't think of it as being the same cartoony and nice type game) but from the little I played of Mabinogi it's sort of like that with the skill system at least. You have to get the book to learn the skill, then use ability points you earn from dungeons to rank up your skills. (Starts at F and goes up to A, then later on will go from Rank A->9 all the way to Rank 1 (if it goes that high). They also have daily missions in the dungeons where 1 dungeon on each boat will have an increased amount of AP earned if you finish it.

TOKEN SYSTEM: This game has a feature called a Token System. The community actually rebelled enough to make them change the times it refreshes, so now we get 150 tokens a week instead of 100. It refreshes on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, and you get 50 tokens per reset, however they DO NOT stack, so either you use them or lose them. The dungeons on boat 2 and later take 2 tokens per go, and after 6 boat rides, it will go up to 3, and later on tops out at 4 tokens per ride. You have to manage your tokens or you will run out long before the next reset! (I'm at college all day Wednesday, so for me I have 2 days to use 50 tokens, so I try to use 25 tokens a day).

Community: The community in the game seems to be very nice. You can find parties fairly quickly, and MOST people don't seem to be jerks if you screw up something or don't know about something.

Market/Economy: It's pretty easy to make money in this game, and they even have a market system in game to buy items from other people that they've listed. Some items are over priced (like when new content comes out or when we get a new character), but it seems to be pretty balanced as of right now.

I'm really looking forward to playing more of this game and hope the future content is as great, if not better, than the current content!

I've only played it for several days on my brother's computer, and I'd say it was a fun experience. It's definitely worth a try, and I would keep playing it if my computer could handle it.

Shazbot - 10-31-2010

nice game

reinnocent - 10-18-2010

A great and solid game. Though it's not for people who are looking for open field experience.
