The following information has been classified as Top Secret. At 1400 hours, HERZ city was targeted by an unknown terrorist group. A large explosion decimated an underground R.O.C. military laboratory. The soldiers stationed at the laboratory were not able to repel the subsequent ground forces. Civilian eye-witnesses have been questioned for more details but none were able to see clearly through the smoke. The laboratory was completely ransacked. The R.O.C. cleanup crew is taking inventory of the damage, but Professor Russell has not been found. His whereabouts are currently unknown, but he is assumed to be a captive of hostile forces due to his work on "Heaven's Drive." Due to the sensitivity of this situation, the R.O.C. has assembled a team of volunteers to reconnoiter and report. You are those volunteers. In Metal Assault, battle is just around the corner! PvP with your friends, run co-op missions, drive tanks... The world is your oyster!

Ehhhh, it's okay. It's fun when you first pick up and play it. It seems like a casual game at first but there's really just not much to do. You basically only do zombies co-op mode or PvP mode. There's a mission mode but it's really weak and lame, it's just like playing through an extremely watered down version of Metal Slug. Zombies is pretty fun at first but obviously becomes really repetitive and hackers are every where. PvP is really rough on new players. There's a beginner's PvP which only low level accounts can use, and Free PvP which is for every one else. Beginner's PvP offers shields depending on how good/bad you are at PvP, which frustrate a lot of players who have even some skill at PvP games. Eventually you are forced to use Free PvP and no matter how good you are, there's always that amount of strategies that each game has to offer that you can only discover by playing it. You're thrust into matches with all the top high level players (like me) immediately after doing beginner PvP matches and you get owned really bad, and your Kill/Death goes horrible. This causes frustration among a lot of players so they quit pretty early. PvP isn't very balanced, snipers are by far over powered in this 2D shooter setting (the scope is useless and no one uses it; snipers are best used as a close range shotgun since it's so easy to get headshots with it in this 2D game). The cash shop is over powered and only getting worse. There's hackers everywhere and the game can be pretty lagggy. There's only one community GM. If you're in a zombies mood and just want to jump in a easy game, it's okay to play for a few days until you find something better. But if you're a hardcore player looking to test your skills and play some competitive PvP matches, I don't recommend this game. I have 30k kills (by far the highest in the server currently) and I just can't recommend this game for people looking for a good, balanced, competitive PvP shooting.
