game is pretty cash dependent, ur gonna need a mount...one that flies too, community will spam x rated stuff, game itself was original, rest of it sucked

I remember that I got interested in Mabinogi when the closed beta drew near for NA. I got sad and forgot about it when I got to know that europeans were IP banned.
Then last year I became happy to know that Mabinogi is coming to europe. All I can say is that I LOVE IT. The gameplay is fun, BUT HARD AS CRAP sometimes. I love the music. The graphics is really good. PvP ain't that bad and is actually quite fun. 1% PvP fight, FTW!
It has lots of features that are quite fun. (tailoring! God I love that~) The community is just awesome~
I'm not sure about the market/economy though, we just recently got the auction house... Plus, I never keep an eye on it either.

Pros: Decent graphics, decent gameplay (combat system isn't just hit and kill...you have to use skills most of the time), pretty nice community, instanced dungeons (some people might find this as a con, though), actually has an interesting plot correlated to the mainstream quests

Cons: Lots of walking for mainstream quests (unless you buy mounts from cash shop), learning curve isn't the easiest, hard to do the mainstream quests unless you have friends helping, free rebirth is annoying to wait for :<

Hacking has generally been taken care of, PvP is in the rebalancing stages (if you look at the things to come you'll see what I mean), and the constant events and relatively frequent new content keep most people busy for a very long time.

I play this game, all the time. Can say, pretty much love it. :v

I've been enjoying this game for a year now and, honestly, it never gets boring. The major updates occur every 2 or 3 months. The small updates which contain small events happen once ever 2 week or so. Mabinogi's combat system takes tactics (not just hit and spam skills) which is refreshing for the avid gamer.

Key highlights of my favourite aspects of the game are: Clothing, Life Skills, challenging dungeons, and some of the events the server hosts for players.

The clothing aspect of the game is something I enjoy the most. Your character can wear different clothing in which you can obtain through the game.
Life skills brought me hours of enjoyment because it requires you to complete criteria in-order to progress to the next rank.
Many of the newer events that came out were pretty entertaining when there was nothing left to do in-game.

The negative side to this game is the cash shop system. Even though service is free for all, game play seems to progress slower without it. All in all, Mabinogi is a good game in general but expect to spend a bit of money to enjoy the game to its fullest potential.

This game scares away newbies, because there's not a soul that you can find that's not huddled in their own cliche. Despite that, the game is enjoyable -- mostly because it has a steep learning curve. It takes a bit of skill to kill regular monsters, until you rebirth a couple of times and gain access to the better skills. Though, the graphics are lacking. :<

I've just started on the closed beta on EU, and I'm enjoying it. I'm finding the combat system a little tricky, and having to constantly block/counter-attack confuses me a little to the point of dieing regularly :( All the skills seem wonderful, looking forward to when I'm good enough at them to put them to use.

Mabinogi is a generally decent game. With recent updates, it is easier and more practical to play for free and it has several gameplay hours of fun.

Recently there have been more mini-games, dungeons, landscapes to explore and otherwise occupying events, but the main problems exist in the community.

Hacking/modding/editing, scamming, deceit, flaming, elitism and cliques all run rampant in most servers of Mabinogi. Because of the more serious issues of game modification and hacking, the economy has thus fallen down the hole to those more favorable.

New players who start without a friend to accompany them, can have a serious time gaining ground and establishing themselves.

Someone who looks forward to PvP...don't.

The sounds, features and gameplay are all solid though.
