I've played both Dungeon Fighter Online and Arado Senki (The JP localization) before the 'Dawn of Retribution' update. The game play has a way more solid feel than Dragonica due to flinching and features unique to actual fighting games (but no blocking...). Without a doubt, I enjoyed playing through the various dungeons. That would be a good thing if not for the ridiculous leveling/grind gap between dungeons and quests. Now that the EXP rates have been 'fixed' (no official data released) to JP levels it should be much easier to level. Still, it doesn't make up for the incredible amount of content missing, notably guilds, marketplace and even class skills. DFO has a regional IP ban on anywhere but central/north America while Arado Senki only seems to ban the USA and maybe China/Korea. This is their way of preventing lag (peer-to-peer connection) but proxies are used anyway. The Korean version, Dungeon and Fighter, also the original version, is by far the farthest ahead in terms of content and the most successful retaining the virtues of a casual side scrolling MMORPG that were so tragically lost in translation to English. Shame you'll need a legit adult KSSN (ID number for KR citizen) to register.

tl;dr An excellent game if you play the foreign versions (excluding the Chinese one) but still decent if you suffice with Nexon America's brain(less)-child.

This game is a unique piece of which one does not see everyday. With its unique 2d gameplay comparable to that of Lunia, Dungeon Fighter expresses a variety of strategies of which one can execute whilst making a character. Composing of the standard Magic, Ranged, and Magic Class it expands their persona to new realms demonstrating interesting gameplay. Though the game has draw backs as of now. Community in it development stages as well as economy one can find these factor limiting. Furthermore due to lack of updates at current time one can find training to a slight degree cumbersome. Dwelling upon all these the game regardless is pretty sound and has room to develop.
