This game gets very little credit where it is due. It features a new take on typical MMO RPGs. Instead of a magical land, you're in a city. Instead of mages and warriors, you have super-human heroes or perhaps just a weapon specialist who's crazy good at what he does. This is definetly the game for you if you like super heroes. For a free to play game, the customization is probably the best I've ever seen. The type of initial power (basically your class) are huge in number, and provide a variety of skills so you can always be different from people of the same "class" if you choose to be.
However, the game has a bit of a grind, and if you like party-play and dungeons, this game is not for you. If you like "freedom" and a greatly customized character, this game IS for you. Personally, I hated it(I really dislike modern-day worlds and junk). Though the features were so nice that it kept me playing for longer than I initially wanted to. Very addicting for what it was. . .
Overhyped and no as dfeep as you'd be led to believe. Also seems to have a lot of grind, especially for a pay to play MMO.
