I don't really like asking for stuff like this, but I've been editing since July 13, 2008 and I have over 4500 contribs. However, since page moves generate 2 on the list of contribs, you can just say I have 2250 contribs for all I care.

Just wondering if I've been overlooked. Thanks.

This thread was designed so people can say "I think I deserve it" and then the wiki team confirm that. To have them check every day for "deserving people" really takes time out of their work - so you don't sound like a beggar noob at all, methinks.

Ah, I re-read the OP.

It's just that seeing how people in this thread were getting it automatically as they contributed, I had figured that I would just wait for that to happen on its own, which it didn't yet.

In that case, consider this post as my official application for review of my contributions.

Since I haven't received any recommendations since.. god knows when...

I went through the database and gave VIP status to everyone that had over x number of edits. I do realize this isn't the best way to determine quality of contribution, but I've had no input so raw numbers are all I have to go on.

How many x number of edits? Because I have over 5000 edits and no VIP status
