EQ Restrictions?

Just wondering, are there any class-restrictions to weapon-types now?
I can't seem to equip my Enu with this neat-o Staff that has a chance to take away AP. It's a bummer too, 'cause it's part of the Black Goblet set. ;<

You need to level your weapon branch now to equip them and I think there are multiple weapon classes for equipment sets.
Also, if it's durability is empty then you need a high enough Repairing profession or else it's absolutely useless.

I know, I'm a INT Osa and I can't even level my Fire branch because I need to make sure my weapon branch stays up.
