Last time I had an EE was a week ago and it was because I had to keep an eye on the marketplace for a bit and got bored and started browsing around the site and forgot I was still on Trickster.
One thing I don't understand is why EE is such a horrible thing. I mean it tells me and I know "hey, I'll be disconnecting here in like 40 seconds" so then I tell whoever "I need to relog, I'll be right back" and there you go. It's not random and shuts off your computer or something without warning. Most people make it sound like it fills your computer with viruses, steals your information, changes your passwords and rolls your levels back by twenty on Trickster. o_O
Sorry if this "offends" any people, my heart goes out to 32 bit though. :<
What the hell are you talking about? Of course EE's are terrible. When you hit your head on a wall and you feel pain-- well, why is pain bad? Pain tells the body "something is wrong." Same for EE's.
EE's are, by NO MEANS, normal. Sometimes, the server goes crapper and you get an EE. It tells you something is wrong. In that case, something is wrong with the server. When you get an EE because you are using firefox and whatever other programs, it tells you that something is wrong, particularly with the gameguard.
I don't know what you are talking about regarding the "hey, I'll be disconnecting here in like 40 seconds" part. When I get an EE, my client instantaneously freeze up.
TO does NOT support windows 7 and that is really where a lot of problems are stems from. The GMs admit it: Remove NProtect GameGuard - Trickster Online Revolution
. A lot of these errors can be fixed if they actually updates the gameguard. Considering how many people have windows 7 nowadays, NtreevUSA should be updating the gameguard for those players. As time passes and more players converts to windows 7, players are just going to continue dropping because TO doesn't support their OS. I don't know what you are talking about but this is awful for the server's population in the long run.
I don't see why you are defending them and giving them an excuse to not do something they are supposed to. When another new OS comes out in the future and the TO gameguard doesn't support that either, are you going to say "That's totally acceptable. Don't update the gameguard"?
