Just open Windows media player in the background while playing music before opening your trickster client...

Easiest and most effective way.

That happens to me too on windows XP. Playing trickster is wierd without the sound

Tried disables your antivirus? Certain antivirus are not compatible with old gay...er...gameguard.

Also, please update your audio drivers too!

In my case, I use Winamp to open the sound output device. Then fire up Trickster, and things work. However, this is only on my laptop (the rest of my Windows machines run XP, which I have no immediate plans of upgrading).
