I personally don't think GameGuard helps prevent this sort of error. Map move error is an in-game error.
This error could be some code deficiency.
Unless we're talking about some hacking into the server and leaked virus that causes these errors

Game guard is like a shield that checks your computer and allows things to pass through.
We take longer to login cause its scanning us while we do so.

@Rydia, That really suck, and Harkon had map move fail?? It never happened so far... Until now.

Well I assume that's what it was since it happened around the same time maps broke and everyone in the room D/C at the same time. u_u;;

I think some of us were thinking the map move errors were being caused by the "hacker" guy but since it's still happening guess not...or he's not effected by gameguard lol. Who knows. ~_~

They always seem to kick in when a location gets really popular. I guess like some sort of map overload that starts to spread like wildfire to other maps that aren't even very busy. If that happens to be the case, I guess we can say there's not a lot SGI can do about these anymore. Not to mention it's a weekend that has only just started. Unless we get some miracle fix out of nowhere over the weekend, we're gonna be pretty much blocked out of a lot of things... I don't even look forward to weekends anymore because this happens pretty much every freaking weekend now and because of that I think they really need to start thinking about weekend staff. @_@
