Hi,

How exactly does one get a powerful stick from a normal stick? :py05:
I checked wiki but the info doesn't seem to be there.
I heard you need 5 old sticks (?) and nikarium fragments (?) but which NPCs do you talk to and etc to make a powerful stick? Where do you get old sticks/nikarium fragments?
Maybe through treasure hunt? How does that work?


There should be a guide on this is there isn't already QQ

Nikarium fragments are obtained from Treasure hunt (Surprise spot) using Worn and Old Maps. With 5 nikarium fragments you can compound a Nikarium at Black Market (You can get there using Weird Maps).
Then you'll need 2 Old Sticks (wiki info) and the Nikarium to compound a Powerful Stick with Compounder Vin (Black Market)

Since it's a compound there is a chance you'll fail

Apparently, you don't get Nikarium Fragments from Old Maps, just Worn, but it could be just that I've been unlucky for the past 500 Old Maps

I've got this info from a friend of mine

Powerful gear has high base stats, but they don't seem to refine well... Even at +8, a Powerful Arc Stick I've seen in someone's shop only had about 150-155% its base MA.

No idea where to get it, though. :B

i got my only nikarium fragment from a worn map while trying to get to 50 quests done at mirage island

it's possible but very unlikely to happen, since it never happened again ;_;

On wiki it says to get old stick from techni monsters, but are there specific monster(s) that tend to drop old sticks more?
For example, at tap, old arc sticks seem to drop mostly(?) from fire moth, and not from red salamanders or blue salamanders.
Does the same or similar kind of situation occur at techni?

Nikarum frags are from anywhere that has the treasure hunt, old/worn can give them. But they are rare as crap. I got ~4 (3 from worn, 1 from old) :x

errr, somewhere over 300 lol
most of them were Ghost blue/tap with a few of Techi mixed in there

those pwerfull sticks aint REALLY better than phantoms i guess :O

..if you get a very high base ma on a powerful, and you want a lot of ma yes it is.

Phantom's are terrible. Rarely ever do they even have one slot, and even if they do, I'll take a 80 (if not refined) or 120+ (if well refined) Powerful Stick with 30+LK anyday over a 14xMA/-whatever LK.

IMO LK is worthless for mages. if you can get over like 1.3k++++ MA, that is. My mages had ~1.1-1.2k MA with ~300LK :>

My statement still stands. Dark Lords for instance will never beat Odinea. According to the Wiki, Dark attacks will do 1 damage at red, and she absorbs regular magic, so...

I don't think ANYTHING absorbs light (or rather if something does it's either just magic absorbant, or hittable via AR), so aside from SoH they get a pretty good advantage in great AoEs (for PvE) and good enough strength on them.
