Before you commence reading below, some of your questions may have been answered already in Lyn's Thread. Mines will only go
in depth about each title, some common questions, as well as recommended builds. I'll be compiling the already answered Q's and answering the most commonly addressed issues regarding specific guardian titles that haven't been answered yet. I'll be briefly linking/mirroring past threads that have answered many of the frequently asked Q's since Lyn has already covered the most basic ones. I hope that this will help players who are currently undergoing or awaiting enlightenment.

The General Q's:

  • How many skills can guardians learn?
    -A guardian can learn up to 19 skills max and 8 max in one category specific to their type.
    The build of your guardian will determine how many skill slots are available.

  • Do guardians have stats? R1, Credits & +rep go to Lilune
    -Yes, guardians have stats. Theirs are abysmally weaker compared to normal Trickster characters, since they are prohibited from wearing equipment.
    -Notes: Debuffs are based heavily on guardians' base stats; Some fixed % based debuffs that don't take in user stats in their formula are exempt from this rule, like shield breaker. To maximize their debuffing ability,
    focus on getting a guardian best suitable to your character and opt for legendary build.
    The more slots in their major type, the better their debuffs will slash off from
    bosses/mobs.
    Ex: A 1611 Digrimm's rust will debuff more than a 6111 Sephiren's rust.



  • How many runes can a guardian equip at once?
    -A guardian can equip 3 runes simultaneously,
    1 default hatched rune, 1 from the 4 character runes, and 1 of the 2 yellow runes.
    Quote:
    Rune stones are consumed on use. If a second rune stone of the same color is equipped, the previously equipped rune stone will disappear.
-Notes: A magic guardian can learn any two/three or more seals at a time.
They have no restrictions on elemental seals like our characters do.

  • Once you've hatched your guardian, it will use the skills of its major type the most often.
    Unless it has an even build like 3333/4444, then the skills of its type will be launched first, then others will follow evenly.
    To counter this, you can input debuffs/attacks in the guardian window sidebar in your character growth tab.
    There are 2 instant cast in one battle slots, and 4 repeatable.
    Once the rotation is done and skills are in cool-down, it will use it's default rune attack.
    -Notes: Passives cannot be put into the slots.
    Ex: To make arrow rush work, have it in your skill slots with mana arrow.
    Then just drag mana arrow to the repeatable or instant skill slots.
    Skills cannot be mastered on guardians, only to level 10.

  • Can guardian attacks and debuffs miss on monsters?
    -With the results from testing, no they do not miss. All attacks will hit.
    Shard of the glacier didn't have the 90% accuracy penalty applied.
    Your guardian can debuff even the highest lk monsters in-game.
    Quote:
    New exception: Shard misses constantly at Chaos Tower floor 72, regardless if the guardian has a high sense build.

  • Is possible to stack double debuffs/attacks?
    -With the results from testing, no you can not and it's situational.
    For example, you can't double rust or double luck break a monster.
    The last debuff used on the monster will be the one that stays.
    This also applies to attacks. You can't double stack shard of the glacier or tesla field on the same monster.
    Shard will miss and tesla will be replaced with the most recent one used.
    If you want two, you must have targeted one monster and your guardian targeting another.
    Ex: You cast scorching earth on a boss and your guardian casts scorching on another mob for dual scorching on the field.

  • Where are the best places to farm cards?
    Coral volleyball field-
    Mermaid dungeon-
    Tapasco field 1-
    Nora Sewers-
  • How does guardian experience work?
    Quote:
    -You won't lose experience to guardians, they never absorb our exp nor is our experience split and shared by a 50/50 split. Guardians gain 10% of your experience if you hunt manually and they don't absorb it from the total. For example, you kill a monster and you receive 50000 exp, your guardian gets 5k from that kill when summoned, and that 5k isn't subtracted from your 50k, understand? So no need to worry about it stealing your experience.
    -If you quest, then guardians gain the full amount of the quest experience, not 10% and won't subtract from any of yours gained either.

    It is pretty straight forward, but there are some IMPORTANT aspects you need to pay attention to.
    Quote:
    It is crucial to have the most experience in whatever type you want in order to get the guardian you want. Leaving wanted type empathy is just icing on the cake and is not needed, as long as previous is fulfilled.

Important Notes:

-The egg is not yet matured, tread with caution when killing your doppelganger and completing NPC quests.
-Being precise and calculative to the very last drop is needed.
-Grinding is NEVER a supported option to raise one's egg empathy.
Under special circumstances, this is the last resort IF you've planned out your order of method.
-Getting your wanted type to 3 first will not get you a specific guardian.
-Guardian type isn't dependent on order, it is determined by experience.
  • You SHOULD follow my model steps below to minimize complications with empathy experience. All are presented in the most right to the point when the stats are generated, without excess floating experience to alter your results.

  • The riskier alternative superior build is 4,4,4,4; It requires patience and a lot of Card ID.
    E1
    -Same as above, you need to pay close attention the your wanted type's experience.
    -Same rules apply, except that you need to play Card ID.
    -This build is rarely used and is one of the least confirmed, try at your own risk.

I will summarize the sequence below:

Important Notes:
  • There are a total of 5 bonus points possible to be attained after finishing the secret empathy process. There's no current way of controlling where these points go.
  • The average player burns at least 1.6k cards in identification when undergoing this process.
  • ~300 cards give 1 bonus point. Rough calculation, but ~1.2k area gives a guaranteed 4 points.
    Be safe and play upper 1k-1.2k when trying for 4444 superior and 18 points legendary.
  • The last type to flash when you are done will be where the +2 will go.
  • Undergo the secret process before you start normal empathizing to reduce complications.
  • The secret process can be done as long as the egg hasn't matured yet.
  • The secret empathy experience is cumulative and will not reset when logged off.
    Do not worry about finishing it in one go, take your time.
  • The empathy bars will never reach 5/5 during secret process, since the types switch so often.
    A rare 2 bars is the most it will fill, 1/5th bar is the norm.
  • Finishing card id is the most important.
    It doesn't matter if you haven't finished stargazing, it will not have a major effect on your build results. Some players completely skip fortune telling and still end up with a 5 point bonus.
  • Secret bonus points cannot be seen until after hatching.
  • It is common for the egg to change types fast early on, then slow down as you near completion.
    This occurs as you max the easier secret missions within card id,
    notably life bonus, 3+ combos.
  • Unconfirmed, but each mini secret mission may play an empathy type factor.
    Finding a secret card -> secret power empathy.
    Past stage 10 -> secret magic empathy etc.

You cannot continue to add anymore points once this has happened.

  • Confirmed regular guardian builds range from 4-12 points total, easiest to achieve. Cannot be 3,3,3,3 in order to be normal.
  • One way is to immediately hatch when you have the soul egg equipped and map ready.
    [Build: 0,0,0,0 -> 1,1,1,1 Post hatch.]
    The guardian type is determined by the most experience accumulated in one of the four stats.
    E1,E2
  • Train any major stat to 6 and hatch. [Sample build #,1,1,1]
    E1
  • Superior build 3,3,3,3 and finish Card ID process. [Sample build 5,4,4,4]
    Type is determined by most accumulated experience in one of the 4 stats.
    The sample build can result in any guardian; the major stat resulted from Card ID is not the contributing factor.
    Risky build and not many confirmed testers, try at your own risk!

  • Any build with 12 points, except for 3,3,3,3 superior build. Can have a 6 in its major stat and still be normal.

-Interesting note:
Regular Sephirens is the only of its type to have a wind seal under it while being summoned.

Just want to say Happy New Year and nice guide. I'd like to share something that I think it's time to share I guess lol.
Accomplished Guardian stat is 4444 but you have to complete the Card ID process or w/e method to the last glow! So to be clear the last glow is going to be +2 pts so for example if

I had it for awhile on one of my champ that I used very rarely!!

A little later when you told me about the 4444 build, I remember hearing that the accomplished builds in Jewelia were 3333 build, so that led me to think that this might work for (ex: a 2122 build). I aready sent a PM to the owner of one to get some more confirmation on theirs. Hopefully this can all be solved soon ^_^.

It was sense. Your last glow has to be the one with 2 in your Guardian Build before hatching it!

Oh wow thanks! :3 Now I can go and confirm that you can STILL get the wanted guardian even if 2 in the major stat of build, not secret empathy 2, is lowest experience than all the other 3's.

Maybe incase people screw up in building that they should follow a glow order. I don't usually count the glow when I'm raising my guardian but there's a certain number of glow before a stat raises. That might help people get the guardian they want.
