Trickster is pretty unique. I mean, have you seen any other isometric type game with Trickster's fair share of quality art, plotline, content, the drilling gimmick, and a level cap that goes 370 levels after your final job change (If third job is even going to be the last one)? Not to mention all the ingame events that give you nice equips, and the fact that the GMs actually interact with the players sometimes, unlike other games.
As to why I quit?
Well, once upon a time, when Fantasia was the most populated, when characters of all levels hung out in the newbie area, when Cora still had that big sexy rock that I could sit on, when Jewlia still had two servers, when I still knew what Trickster was, I had a lion. I loved hats, I had white hair, red clothes, and I had a lot of friends. It was all going great. I watched Trickster grow bigger and better.
After a year, everything started to change. I started to realize several things.
1) When I finally had a lot of great super awesome AMAZING friends in Fantasia, everyone either left for Jewlia or PvPed because they were super high-leveled now.
2) My lion sucked. I added bonus stat points in all the wrong places, and I was pure HP equipped and melee.
3) I had been playing for about a year and I was STILL only level 87. That's when I decided to quit.
And I did. Then I got bored and came back to Trickster after a few months. Yes, I know, I'm a failure for not quitting, I'm a failure for coming back, I'm a failure for investing time into a silly little game, blah blah blah, whatever. I'm still a kid. I don't make good decisions.
I'm still here playing Trickster because I know my old friends are still out there, at least some of them, and I'm still searching for them. They have to be here. They wasted a year getting to know me, I could waste at least that much time trying to find them. I just hope they remember me. But sometimes, I try to go back to the real world: this is just a game, and that always make me think long and hard about life and stuff. Then I end up stopping, and playing some more.
Oh yeah, and I still like hats. They're cool. So I play for hats, too.
