Scammer thread or no, I'm only concerned that people would be more inclined to scam in game now that they won't have to worry about being on the list.

Unless the players themselves create a list, but of what good? That would probably only bring more drama than this since even neutral parties can take sides when it comes to friends.

No. I'm neutral. She invited me to be friends, I accepted. Which I would do with most anyone!

For this new Scammer Thread idea discussion thing, I think it would be possible to find a couple of people to update it and remain neutral. I would volunteer for the job, but that more of a "vote a person for that" And we all know how the last thing voted went ahahaha

Anyways! I hope that something will be figured out! It's sad (and funny in a cynical way) to see that all the hard work put into the Scammer Compilation Thread and Scammer Discussion Thread was thrown out all because this one thing was thrown waaaay out of proportion!

This is a very nice community, for the most part, and I'm sure we could come up with something ourselves. We can't always leave it up to the mods to clean up all of our mess. I think we're all more mature than that.

I completely agree that when it comes to friends it's hard to remain neutral. But hopefully if everything points to your bestest best friend scamming poor Boy A.. then hopefully the "neutral person" can get over themselves and their friends and say, "Realistically bestest best buddy of mine has scammed poor Boy A, and must go on the scammer list." And if that happens, it only changes other peoples opinion of them, and shows you that maybe some re-evaluating of buddy needs to be done.

I think the list should be up to one person rather than a group because groups can create conflicts between each other and make more problems

A new scammer list should be put in place either way. You can't just expect people to sit back and do nothing. Like Ameh said, it needs to be purely neutral people who will not take sides. The problem is, it's a lot easier said than done so it will either not be done or it will take a lot of time to sort out.

That is why we need to set rules like how we need solid proof. Maybe a rule against MSN should be established as well @_@
If someone did scam but you didn't screenie well then that's too bad. lots of scams happen and go unnoticed :|

I'm open to this as an alternative to shutting it down. I left it 24 hours out for a reason -- some drop of hope that the community could come up with an idea to save it.

Create a set of rules that all of you agree on that leaves the staff impartial and I will consider it.

I say keep the idea of the poll alive(I liked the idea, as did many others), but don't let people post in the thread, just vote and leave. If they want to argue, keep it out of the public and let them deal with their problems in private.

As for the {Terror} thing, if so many people believe he did it, and some think there wasn't enough proof, put him in the "People To Watch Out For" list. Let the person who's going to do a trade/lending thing decide whether to trust him or not.

OK, this is coming from a guy that only reads the scammer threads when there's these dramas going on, cause it's funny to read.

rules. There does need to be some clear cut ones, my 2 suggestions are.
1. The picture proof must be of trickster. The scam happened on trickster, the proof needs to be from trickster.
2. There needs to be 4 things to show a scam. Evidence of a deal (you give me recharge coupons, I give you 14mil), Evidence that you have what you offered (I'm giving 14mil, see how I have 14mil), Evidence they received what you offered (Here's me giving 14 mil to person x), evidence they didn't give you what you asked for(They deleted me from their friends list, and I never got the recharge coupons).

Also there will be a need for some kind of appeals judge. As no matter what rules you have, this is the internet and there will always be drama. So you will need someone who's word is final on this. I see me regretting saying this later, but I volunteer for this job. I know trickster so, I know what people are talking about. I no longer play eTO meaning I have no personal opinion on it's community. And I'm not a member of the ggftw staff, so I don't represent the site just the thread.

I believe Kale would do a great job of keeping the thread updated and remaining neutral. Either Mirae or Shanni! could handle appeals, since they're both mods (and can edit Kale's post if needed) and can override Kale's verdict if they and others see a situation totally different. This would leave them impartial, as you mentioned.

I would also like to add another suggestion: That the victim or the accuse scammer must post the evidence themselves. It is not that hard to make an account on here, and it is better if they can speak for themselves.

There's no point to that. There are far too many scammers for their names to be accommodated on anyone's profile and nobody can AFK "the list" online 24/7. Maybe a better idea is to put a link to the scammer thread here, in their profile, if they want.

And you could ask them to join and post their scam screenies as well so then we'd get more active members. Muhaha hurray for turning drama into an advertising campaign.

Just a note... I wouldn't consider myself friends with 7N, I was friends with Valese before she joined that Guild. Only Valese and Necro really talk to me from that Guild (I met them both before they joined), and I've never had a conversation with any other members (Rem, fl1p, etc)
