I would have to agree with Jamesie. I mean what lion would want a Skill that reloads a Normal Attack faster, if it's cooldown reduction for Shooting Spree/Berserk then yes I would approve of this but for normal attacks?...Yea no.

Keep in mind, Lions is really dependent on their skills.

I'm going to be contrary as always. 50% reduction in reload time? That is AMAZING imo. Especially if it means you can shoot timed crits twice as fast. If that's the case and you can 1-shot something like the bats in Count trials, then that's a really fast way of killing them. I'm looking forward to it~

Hmmm that will be amazing with overdrive.
And yup it's what lions needed. People just want to fuss over the fact the cannot move. It may not be practical in pvp with current strategies but new skills are for a variety of new strategies.
So be creative and make the skills work for you.
And I see this bunker being useful in bossing as the boss won't leave you unless you run away.
And do not say something is no good until you try it for yourself.

I've been playing a Sense Lion for over 3 years now and the skills they gotten the past patches did help the class only by bites, I would admit ever since the 3rd jobs came out.

It gave lions a huge amount of strategies to be used. But seeing these recent skills being release on future patches will most likely be a clutch skills like Knee Sense/Gun overdrive.

I'm sorry to tell you but Bunker has kinda long become a useless skill that nobody bothers to learn, even with the added Escape Bunker skill.

Yeah I'd say overall the new skills suck, except for Fox/Charm Hybrid (not pure)/Power hybrid skills. And maybe Priests.

Boss: Lion with low def that cant move hmmmm what to use? my strongest skills that can probably wipe it out, spam summon that will quickly drain the bunkers hp or banish that will be finished before they can deactivate the bunker and run?

Really hoping there will be more new skills than the ones already shown and this is just some sort of "first wave" or "test" to see which classes can get away with what.

As a Soul Master... getting a random non-element AoE that makes targets invisible for a few seconds is frustrating, and I can see why I hear so many bad opinions about it. It has it's uses (removing troublesome mobs from the fight for a bit) but the MP cost hardly justifies something that simple (unless it's damage compares/rivals CS). I would have been content with a well needed defensive skill, and/or a very powerful (and costly) AoE that summons all the elements at once.

But no, that makes too much sense for a class that's supposed to excel at "controlling elements" ...not rends in space-time.

Virtually everyone has hit on it already, but I suppose I'll throw in my two cents.

1) We do not need a reload decrease skill. MyShop, Powerful/Ultimate, and Altiverse all have around a one sec reload time. They are still inferior to our three/four attack skills. While timed criticals may be great with a .5 second reload time, I'm calling it now that it's still going to be inferior to skill damage.

2) Bunker, despite it being a "shield" (somewhat), roots you in place. Being rooted in place is an idiotic idea for a Lion skill. We're already the frailest class in the game and rely on hit and run tactics when things get scary, and you give a skill that's all "l0lderp let's sit down." Throw in Banish at bosses and how the "shield" is a function of your HP (rather than a flat number like Guard or a function of your MA like SoH) and it's even more useless. Oh, you also can't use Normal Attacks in the Bunker (from the translation? Maybe I overlooked it recently?), so the reload skill is useless too.

Do not tell me what I can and cannot say about skills.
(1) There's no reason to try to change your strategy since every other class in PvP is mobile enough to just smack you in the face while you can't move. It's useless in PvP.

(2) It will not be good in bossing unless this "Bunker Escape" Parudy mentions is fast enough for you to get out of Banish. And I remind you that the health of the shield is a function of your HP, so it's not like Light Mages where you can stop stacking HP because you don't need to care. Exception if it increases the damage of your skills significantly, as to enable you to ohko a boss or something. I doubt it though, I only remember it giving you a small (shitty) HP-buffer.

The bunker skill alone, does seem pretty useless to me, since you cannot do anything while inside it.

But I believe that there will be other new skills that un, that will be related to bunker later on. To make it useful, maybe an attacking skill that you can only use while in the bunker?

If that bunker would protect you from banish, like banish would just remove the bunker, or if the bunker would auto shoot like turret while you can trow in PS/DS/SS, I think it would be a cool skill. But now it really fails imo. And any of you have thinked about that faster reload time does not affects how fast the damage number flies and thus how fast you can do a timed crit, huh?

Good point. A 1s Gun already reloads faster than the number disappears so you're not going to be pulling off timed crits any faster. Guess it's only good if you can ohko whatever you're attacking.

...Either I'm stupid or this is a rumour that's been around for far too long. The timed crit timer IS NOT based on when the numbers disappear, it's just a coincidence/intended aid to make it easier for beginners that the numbers disappear at the same time. With a standard in-game gun it works, but with a faster-loading MyShop gun the timing does not work; it's before the numbers disappear. I am 90% certain that the crit timing is directly related to the reload time (I think I worked it out as being about double reload time). Thus it is entirely possible that a skill that halves the reload time will also half the crit timing, which would effectively be a doubling of the DPS from timed crits. And timed crits with Keen Sense+Gun Overdrive are stronger than Power Shot even with a rubbish gun. With a max refined Altiverse Gun I'm guessing the damage would be huge (CBB to do the maths now). [ /rant]

Of course I haven't played my lion for over 2 years so I could be talking trash.

sakurako has already been released on eTO thus isn't considered future, the lvl means nothing as eTO controls the stats/lvl.
