Being able to switch servers on Trickster Online signatures

I'd agree with you if it weren't for the fact that Jewelia's economy is horribly screwed up and things would get even more screwed up if the two servers merged.

Like Veloze said, the economies are way too different. Server merges usually end very, very badly (as in resulting in the game quickly being shut down, or economies never recovering) anyhow.

Also like Veloze said, the petition and this thread seem to be two different things.

This is true. But since things are cheaper in fantasia(as far as I know) It might help balance out the economy just a little bit.
Half of the server would refuse to buy things at Jewelia's outrageous prices and people would be forced to sell their merch for less.
Also since people from fantasia would sell things at cheaper prices, everyone who has higher prices would have to lower theirs in order to sell anything at all, since people would naturally go for what's cheaper.

I don't understand much about how the trickster economy works, so I'm just assuming everything of course.

EDIT: On topic though, the petition makes it look like you may switch between the two servers, like going through a portal or something, not combining them.

No thank you. You need to consider the fact that players may have the same name as someone else on either server and that just wouldn't work out. I'm personally not interested in any kind of server merge.

Well, it wont' work out. Since Jewelians are used to paying a lot for their stuff, then they would probably have a lot lot of galders. Some have 30B+. That will kill the economy.

Besides the economy failing hard, you have to remember people have their names taken on the other server, either by them or someone else. And rankings(both by level and MQs/whatever) would mess up too. While a server merge would be nice because we could all be together on one server, it would just ruin the game.

I don't think being able to switch servers would be a good idea, either.



I think a nice idea would be having a map or chat where you can chat across Fantasia and Jewelia. Or PVP go across both. Something so we can just chat between servers.

This concept has been brought up so many times and people have thought of many reasons why it'll never happen, why it would kill the game, etc.

I basically agree with what's already been posted, though.

I wrote this to the GM's after reading this petition: I had a question... If someone started a petition to combine Jewelia and Fantasia servers.. And alot of people agreed to it, and the rules of combining were fair, like if EVERYONE lost their money. Something of the sort, would you be willing to discuss/accept it? every trickster player wants this... Know one likes the game because everyone is leaving because they are bored, no new players are joining, and the economy is messed up. So if enough people signed on BOTH servers, would you be willing? Thanks for your time!

Unfortunately, I am not able to provide you with a yes or no answer, as this is a question that is suited for our developers. GameRage is the publishing company of Trickster Online, and as that is the case we have to follow protocols and rules set by our developers.

You are welcome to make a suggestion and provide us with enough feedback on the forums. We will use this information to present it to our developers for consideration; however we can’t guarantee that this is something that would take place.

Combining two servers into one, is a major task and would require major development time. Not to mention that while some players would like to see this take place, there are others who may not be too happy of this decision. This is why it is a good idea to post it on the Trickster forums where we can see both sides on this issue.

All issues mentioned seem rather small to me (opinion). I don't think they aren't anything that can't be worked out, so I'm all for a server merge.

And no, you can't make everyone happy, but that's sadly how things are.

This is a nice assumption, but let's be honest: People are too greedy. If they have an item that's, let's say, 10 times more expensive on Jewelia, they wouldn't sell it for 1/10 of the price if the servers merged. They'd actually be stupid if they did so! Because Jewelia = more money, means you can buy less without that much money. All those people from Fantasia would be screwed just because of their lack of money. ><

There was a nice idea for the money issue on a Ragnarok freeshard I once played on. They implemented a "Zeny Sink NPC" with unique hats just for the looks (and those hats were only obtainable via Zeny Sink NPC). The money was taken by the NPC = gone forever.
I'm not sure if this would be a good idea, because the hats would have to be like, idk, 20-50m per item, at least. And not anyone can afford them... but it was a start back on that RO server.

You appear to really believe. I thus think that you should create a poll with three options (yes, no don't care). In the topic you will need to outline both cases and have a separate category outlining the problems. I assume that you would have talked about them in the 1:1 area.
This should give you a sample of what everyone in the community thinks, thus giving you an indication of whether you have the numbers to support your idea.

Examples of points are below. i am sure I have missed a few.

Pros
- more competition in economy
- busier server
- more sellers and buyers of stuff
- characters on both servers can be played.
- fantasians can get jewelia specific items (cherry blossom bunch)

Cons
- potential for tension between the two populations
- people with two sets of characters on an account may struggle to decide (this is a minority group anyways)
- Mine party quests and popular grinding spots will become a KS warzone

Problems
- money (includes checks)
- names

Questions
- could they support two channels on one server?

This comment has to due with what you wrote in your petition.

If this does happen I don't see why you're gonna have to lose your money because people with 30b+ galders wouldn't want to lose all their cash, doesn't matter how you made your money but people who sell MyShop, hunt bosses, use driller boy/girl aid to then sell quest items, etc. would see all their IRL cash (MyShop)/hard work down the drain since they'd lose it all and in that case nobody would be okay with that.

If they were to merge the servers you wouldn't have to pay 5$ to do it since the whole game would merge and not just the people that were to pay 5$ for it.

Don't get me wrong I'm all up for it and I think that some problems such as names, economy, characters in 2 different servers in the same account and grinding spots could all be fixed.

E.g.
Names - If 2 people had the same name they'd be offered by the developers a chance to change their name if none of them wanted it maybe they could come into an agreement or something.

Economy - The economy will eventually balance itself since fantasians wouldn't buy overpriced items and jewelians would feel obligated to go for fantasian prices.

When it comes to characters in 2 different servers perhaps they could freeze the characters that people wouldn't mind having frozen so that you wouldn't lose your characters.

Lastly, grinding spots and PQs. I think that these could be worked out by adding more maps in mines and the most used grinding spots and perhaps a new PvP area. I think all of this could be worked out and would make the game a lot less boring since so many times there's lack of people.

This is pretty much the first thing that pops up...
More people = More drama, more scammers, busy mines and grinding spots...

n' not to mention my rose of sharon and hibiscus and the rest of my fuse collection would lose all their value if servers merged. ;-;

I might be able to agree with something like, yeah a portal. But Jewelians can't buy/trade/pick up items items with Fantasians and the other way around, like... you can only visit n' chat. Okay I dunno... just a random idea. :x
