The point I was trying to make wasn't that using anime characters to base their names off is unoriginal, but the fact that they can't seem to think beyond a set handful of 3-5 names, and therefore must add a string of numbers at the end as if it's an original thought b/c they are dead set on using Naruto or Vaizard or Goku as an IGN wherever they go. Also I pointed out that maybe I was being unfair or judgmental. I just always felt that some thought should be put into names, and that numbers should only be used when they truly add something to the name or they are required by the game. Examples of my IGN's from the last few mmo's I played.

And of course those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. I also use the same naming methods for my offline games as well. A few of my IGN's I will reuse, but a lot of the time I end up picking new ones to suit each individual character.

My names are usually one word random names such as my dragon's, Biochemistry. Other's include things like Tissue or Puppet o-o. It sounds more fancy to me o.o;

Altho more recently my names are more japanese like, such as Kyunzai or Ginyrashi e.e;

"Silver" Because my sheep is Silver Dressed! The "xX_____Xx" because the name "Silver" was already taken, this also explain the "2008" she born in the 2008.

It gets very unorginal, but after 3 years, you arnt gonna get many original names anymore

Well, I guess this is age discrimination but this happens all the time on other sites too. Fanfiction.net, Deviantart, Livejournal, etc. Usually the people with those trend imitation names are between the ages of 12-14 years old, or......named themselves when then were 12-14 years old and just haven't bothered to change it. ;;

That's at least something I've noticed that's in common with a lot of people who have that kind of name. Course, there's exceptions but... Eh.

Personally, I'll rage a bit the name I want is taken on MSN /CHILDISH HAHA/ and then choose a different name.

Rawr. I would use non-exist anime names for the "lulz" (or at least match the closest class to what the personality a character has...), but to bad "Battler" (for a Lion) is taken in Jewelia. :X I'll play around more later. :V

Also, to clear things up: LisaMaria is a artist name, but "LisaMarie" is taken. So of course I have to tweak it. As you may know, I want to try a non-Japanese name... Lisa is a nice name, right? :<

P.S. ScuderiaF, where did you get the name idea for "MegaUltraChicken"? (And I hope "Fakhir" is something from Princess Tutu... <3)

Hm...PermaBan came from what happened to my first lion...
I was in O/X, I went afk and GM appeared (as usual).
Coincidentally, I was sitting on GM Mobius (rmb him?) and he stuck me in o/x area for a few months xD
and I guess my other char's names came after that x]

She got it from YuGiOh The Abridged Series, which is insanely awesome and hilarious. XD

I hate numbers and un-capitalized names, as well as x's and o's etc. I always need to have nice-looking names with none of that in them, like Shireiya for example. Also, if I want to name myself after a character from something and the name's taken, I won't alter the name a bit because then it's not the actual name of the character anymore so it's pointless (to me at least).

i.e turning Jennifer into Jenniffer or something.

Ah~ That kind of scared me because that name would have been a clever "scammer" name (when first time vending you. ^^; ). X_X But wow GMs... xD

@ Miyuno: I thought for the moment it's inspired from "Bump of Chicken". xD Yea. And calling yourself "Chicken" does not help me but cracking myself at the keyboard! xD (And wanting something like KFC...)

3 years ago my English was much worse than nowadays >.<
had not so many Brazilians, and I played alone, was naive and did not know that:
"Brazilian = beggar"...
I made the mistake of creating the char "WattaBR" ¬ ¬
nor was to be the main char >.<
and now, Brazilians ask me for money all the time u___u

I try to hide that I am Brazilian, but my char does not allow >.<

I try to make my names unique (except for my poor bunny lol). Elyda was a random name I think that I got from WoW random name generator...

I don't remember how I came up with Kyzuumi, and I think I just like how Ritsku (my lion) sounded. I try to stray away from numbers.
