Well, Charms obviously have higher survivability and can tank a lot better than most mages, but I think mages are more versatile and fun. Also, many Charms are weak against AC-strong bunnies, and mages generally can take care of power types but we weak against Charms. It depends on what you like to play, based on your knowledge.

I think dark mages with hax hp are better at killing charms. Well with fear and all...

I think Charms are better, they recive power from a dodge ability, buffs of DP, one skill who rise 2.6k of HP and they have a magic reflector skill who works with HV.
But Dragons are good too, dark ones kills Charms very easy, with Dark Barrier and Fear, Power types and Charm types are toast.
