Default Router DNS keeps failing.

I have my DNS set to detect automatically (since my ISP changes it each time my modem restarts) on my router but after using it for 5 minutes websites start failing to load and chrome says it has something to do with my DNS settings, i tried to use a public DNS but that failed too.

Any thoughts?

You can try using google's DNS 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

You can test the DNS by going to Start -> Run -> cmd
"nslookup www.google.com"

Just note that the Address: x.x.x.x will be your DNS
If lookup fails then the DNS is cranky.
If x.x.x.x shows the ip of your router you might want to set the public/alternate DNS from your router.

You may also perform this command to clear the DNS cache
"ipconfig /flushdns"

Please note that if it is only a particular site it might be that site has recently changed its IP, the IP stored in your cache became different from what chrome knows and therefore it suggests that your DNS might not have updated to the new IP or could have been poisoned by a malware/virus.
(Doing a flushdns/restart usually helps with this)

You may also enable/disable some of chrome's features to see if they make any difference.
- go to "chrome://settings/"
- show advance settings
- Uncheck/Check "Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors"
- Uncheck/Check "Predict network actions to improve page load performance"

*Assuming you're running Windows.

The problem is on all websites on all of my devices (laptop/tablet/droid), websites won't load, vids won't buffer on already loaded pages or games won't recognise the connection.

I'll try googles DNS but i doubt it'll work.

Edit: using googles DNS is working, thanks again kag.
