Bandicam recording choppy?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to use Bandicam to record some League of Legends matches and the video is the best quality it can capture. The only problem I'm having is that occasionally it gets choppy whether I'm just walking or we get in a team fight. It just seems to happen randomly.

Does anyone know what the best settings are for Bandicam to record games while staying as close to 720 or 1080p could be? Or is there some setting I'm missing that causes the video to be choppy?

Try Open Broadcaster Software and record it to a locally.

What are you system specs?

Oh wow. Thank you Shugi! That recorder works so much better than Bandi :)

I seem to get a spike every now and then, but it's not completely slowed down all the time.

You'll need to tweak the settings a lot cause it's actually encoding the video while you record. Fraps will still be the best option if you have enough space to store raw video.

I'm uploading a test video right now from it. The file was only 680MB for 22 minutes of footage in 720p :)

Too bad it can't record in .avi so you don't have to wait for Youtube to convert, but 30 minutes vs 30 hours with Fraps files is a lot better :p

So here's the Bandicam test:

And here's the OBS test:

Because FRAPS does not encode. It's a raw uncompressed file, you must compress it.
