Computer is EXTREMELY slow now.
Just got my computer back from being in the shop for two months. But... it runs extremely slow now.
It constantly freezes and slows down and multiple programs and such are not responding because it's THAT slow. It's like it's a computer from 1990 or something. x_x
They had to install a new motherboard, as my old one died. It's a ZOTAC GeForce 6100-ITX motherboard. They also had to install a new processor, which is a AMD Sempron™ 130 Processor, ~2.6GHz.
My old processor was an AMD Athlon II 64™ Dual Core Processor, and it worked AMAZING. Never had any freezing or slowing, unless I was trying to run a bunch of stuff, and that was due to insufficient RAM/memory, not a crappy processor.
Is the processor good or bad, compared to my old one, that they installed? Or could it be the mobo? Just want to find out so I can rectify this whole thing.
And something else. Uhm, it stopped constantly freezing and slowing when I completely disabled avast! so, there's that. A little better for now.
