I put disconnects in quotations because they don't really seem to be disconnects. I'll get into that now.
I'm on a Netgear wireless router, I can hardwire but I still get such a good lat I don't notice at all, even when I game (I run about 30ms home/30 ms server on WoW), so I opt out of extra cords that restrict comfort and movement. My laptop is ab Asus K72J, if you need any info beyond that just let me know.
Basically, it seems whenever I am not on WoW, my browser disconnects. Sometimes when I'm on WoW, but mostly off. The thing is, my signal strength is always full bars and while I'm ALT+Tabbed, WoW will be online, running my usual ms of latency, but my browser will be unable to load pages.
But if I can stay connected to an mmo, which afaik
is essentially constant streaming data, but I can't load a browser page unless I disconnect and reconnect my wireless signal... what's going on?
If I get any responses before 3pm EST I'll still be at classes and I'm not sure if the same problem persists with my schools wifi.
Edit: It happens on the wifi at my college as well.
