Please note that for dragons with male and female versions, you wont know what gender they (Or any hatchling for that matter) is until they mature and get ready to enter the adult stage. However, Purple and Bright Pink dragons are female only.

Dinos and Chickens CANNOT breed.

Holiday dragons may breed, but they will only produce eggs of what you breed with. For example, breeding the '08 "Yulebuck" with a gold will result in gold eggs, if successful.

Seasonals may breed year round, but they will only produce season eggs for the current season they are in. For example, breeding a winter dragon during the summer will yield summer eggs.

Alt versions of Black and Vine dragons are obtained through chance breeding. You will not know what you get until the egg hatches, as of 12-13-08.

The method for finding alts has been removed from this post for now, as it seems DC caught wind of the method being spread around, and changed it on everyone. Nice to know we're still being checked on <3

Geode dragon seems to also be obtained through breeding of Stone and Pebble/Green dragons. The egg is the same as Stone, with a slightly bluish tint.

The Frill drops at the cave. However, this egg has the same description as the skywing egg.

Common Eggs

Albino You can see the baby dragon curled up inside this translucent egg.
Albino dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin is lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun's harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ges/Albino.png

Balloon This light egg is floating in the air.
Balloon dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to bursting, as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...es/Balloon.png

Black This egg has a faint green glow around it.
Black dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ges/black2.png

Bright Pink It's bright. And pink. (Discontinued)
Bright pink dragons are one of the few all-female breeds of dragons. Their bright colors make them easy to spot during dragon mating season. They are primarily herbivores, but eat meat during mating season when it is brought to them by a mate. Mating seasons occur once every 200 years and can last up to 2 years.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...tages/pink.png

Daydream This egg is sitting on a cloud.
Daydream dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near daydream dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/Daydream.png

Deep Sea Dragon This egg appears to be covered in scales.
Deep sea dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminous dorsal spine that serves to attract pray and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to abait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...pSeaDragon.png

Dragon Horse This egg has strange markings on it. (25% Chance of getting this, Frilled, Ochredrake or Skywing from the caves)
The dragon horse has an equine-shaped body and hooves instead of claws, which allows it to be a very fast runner. It specializes in running takeoffs, which are quicker than takeoffs from a stand-still. The horse dragon is able to stalk its prey from the ground, and then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...gonHorse_n.png

Electric
As their name suggests, Electric dragons are capable of producing electric charges. They can produce different amounts of electricity depending on their mood and time of year. During mating season, their sparks become brighter to attract potential mates. Electric dragons aren't usually a danger to other dragons, but they do use their power to attack predators and prey.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/Electric.png

Frilled This egg has strange markings on it. (25% Chance of getting this, Ochredrake, Dragon Horse or Skywing from the caves)
Frilled dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight, and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the "best" frills being more likely to breed.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/frilled1.png

Gray This egg is surrounded by fog.
Gray dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers, and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...tages/gray.png

Green This egg is sitting in a pile of small pebbles.
Green dragons are also sometimes called "earth" dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down into the ground.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/green.png

Guardian This egg is sitting in front of the others.
Guardian dragons have a large shield on the end of their tails. Although it appears to be heavy, it is light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/guardian.png

Ice This egg has icicles forming on it.
Ice dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...Stages/Ice.png

Magi This egg has an orange aura radiating from it.
Magi dragons are, as their names suggest, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is generally everything. They won't kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...tages/magi.png

Magma This egg is almost too hot to touch.
Magma dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, requiring surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/Magma.png

Mint This egg is hidden behind the others, as if it is shy.
Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; They eat only plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons, since they only double in size when they mature. They cannot use any forms of magic, and cannot fly since they don't have any wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons "large lizards."
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/mintcopy.png

Neotropical This egg has strange yellow stripes.
Neotropical dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings, gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...eotropical.png

Ochredrake This egg has strange markings on it. (25% Chance of getting this, Dragon Horse, Frilled or Skywing from the caves)
Ochredrakes are a curious species, with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviours. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ocredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the face of a gentle hand.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/Ochre.png

Purple Wow, purple isn't a color of egg you expected to see.
Purple dragons, however, are one of the only breeds of only female dragons. They eat only plants, and meat during mating season when it is brought to them by their mate. Their bright colors make them easy to spot during dragon mating season, which occurs once every 10 to 20 years and can last up to 2 years.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ges/purple.png

Red This egg is rather warm.
Red dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren't evil creatures as depicted in myths, and won't go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...Stages/red.png

Skywing This egg has strange markings on it. (25% Chance of getting this, Ochredrake, DragonHorse or Frilled from the caves)
Skywing dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are one of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...es/skywing.png

Stone This egg is heavy and rough, as if it were made out of rock.
Stone dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/stone.png

Thunder Whenever you go near this egg your hair stands on end.
Thunder dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating archs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinately, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A Thunder dragon's roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...es/Thunder.png

Vine This egg is sitting in a patch of grass and small flowers even though there's no sun in the cave.
Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn't true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. They are very violent, and will use these vines to capture, kill, and eat anything it sees that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, its range is limited, and it can't use magic. Also, they tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus will be surrounded by a large clearing.

Common Eggs (Cont.)

Water This egg is sitting in a shallow puddle.
When a water dragon matures, it loses almost all use of its legs as well as its ability to survive on land and enters the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They usually stay in the same lake their entire life, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ges/water2.png

WaterWalker This egg seems to be floating on a puddle.
Water walkers are small dragon that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their life on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ter_walker.png

Whiptail This egg shakes from time to time, as if it is eager to hatch.
Feisty and energetic, whiptail dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/Whiptail.png

White This egg has a very clean look. It's completely devoid of dirt and scratches.
White dragons are pacifists, and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can't bring back the dead. They only eat plants, and never kill living things.

Common Eggs with Alternate Coloring or Forms

Bluna (Female)
Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called "pods." Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often "play" with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...lunaFemale.png

Bluna (Male)
Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called "pods." They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v.../BlunaMale.png

Canopy (Female) This egg is hidden by some leaves.
Canopy dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles, and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, manueverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...nopyFemale.png

Canopy (Male) This egg is hidden by some leaves.
Canopy dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles, and other densely forested areas. http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...CanopyMale.png

Dorsal (Purple) This egg has multiple bands of color on it.
Dorsal dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...rsalPurple.png

Dorsal (Red) This egg has multiple bands of color on it.

http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v.../DorsalRed.png

Nocturne (Day) This egg appears to be made of limestone.
Nocturne dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camoflague to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Pink (Female) It's bright. And pink.
Pink dragons are primarily herbivores, and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan's young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/PinkM.png

Pygmy (Female) This egg is so tiny you almost didn't see it.
Pygmy dragons are the smallest breed of true dragons, being the size of a small cat. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators, and to leave generous scraps. As such, the majority of a Pygmy's diet is scavenged, though they do hunt songbirds and small mammals when the pickings are slim. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with other varieties of dragons, but select mates within their breed.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ygmyFemale.png

Pygmy (Male) This egg is so tiny you almost didn't see it.

Split (Female) This egg is split down the middle into two colors.
Two headed dragons are a special breed of dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads work usually together, but there are times when they will fight each other, attacking back and forth. They use their sharp teeth and wings to hunt large animals, and rarely eat plants. It is unknown what would happen if a two headed dragon were to mate with a one headed dragon, since it has never occurred. They only mate within their breed.

Striped (Blue) This egg has brightly colored markings on it. (Breed any Striped with Daydream, Water, Winter, Skywing, Striped dragons.)
Striped dragons come in a dazzling array of colors, complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon's mate.

Common Eggs with Alternate Forms or Coloring (Cont.)

Sunrise This egg is glowing as brightly as the sun. Hatch an egg between 6AM and 3PM.
Sunrise dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise dragons prefer to live in large groups, and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Waterhorse (Female) This egg is slimy and blue.
Waterhorse dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons, and enjoy playing with humans.

Seasonal Eggs
These eggs are common, however, they are only obtainable during their respective season. Breeding Autumns/Summers during winter, for example, will yield Winter eggs.

Autumn The markings on this egg match the weather outside.(Currently Unavailable)
Seasonal dragons take on the characteristics of the season they are born in. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of Spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in Autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during Winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Eggs laid in Autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during Winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Rare Eggs

Alt Black This egg has a faint green glow around it. (Breeding Only)
Black dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Alt Vine This egg is sitting in a patch of grass and small flowers even though there's no sun in the cave. (Breeding Only)
Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species.

Cheese This egg is soft and smells uncannily like cheese.
Cheese dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must 'live' in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Chicken This egg is a third the size of the other eggs.
Well, your "pet" chick grew up into a chicken, but you're still not sure how the egg got into that cave...

Dino (Blue) This egg looks like it doesn't belong, it is brightly colored with white spots. It's much lighter than the other eggs.
Finally, after much feeding, your baby has grown into a full Dino! Dinos can eat almost anything, including things with spikes. In order to do so, they must have very tough stomachs.

Dino (Green) This egg looks like it doesn't belong, it is brightly colored with white spots.
Finally, after much feeding, your baby has grown into a full Dino! Dinos can eat almost anything, including things with spikes. In order to do so, they must have very tough stomachs. Geode This egg is heavy and rough, as if it were made out of rock. (Breeding Only)
Geode dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material, as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ages/geode.png

Gold This egg is very reflective, almost metallic looking.
Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Paper This egg is tiny and made out of several pieces of paper folded together.
Paper dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding. Paper dragons cannot breed, and are very susceptible to fire.

Silver (Female) This egg gives off a beautiful glow.
Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains, and like most female dragons, eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Neglected N/A (Method to obtaining unknown.)
This breed of dragons results from an egg or hatchling that has been neglected. They are usually rebellious, not obeying their masters, sometimes even attacking them. However, their neglect as a hatchling leaves them crippled, and they are weak compared to other breeds, causing them to stay with their masters for protection.

Pumpkin This egg smells like the autumn harvest. (Currently Unavailable)
Pumpkin dragons are a very small breed, named after their affinity for pumpkins. They are always found living inside hollowed-out pumpkins, and are only seen during the harvest season. Young children often hollow out and decorate their pumpkins in the hope that a Pumpkin dragon will make it his or her home.

Undead N/A (Currently Unavailable. These only show on a scroll from 12AM-6AM PST)
Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming the dragon into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.
http://i689.photobucket.com/albums/v...ges/undead.png

Valentine ('09) This egg is speckled and very fragile. (Currently Unavailable.)
Valentine eggs are only once a year. Adults' mating seasons are very short, usually spanning the middle of the month of February. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Vampire (Female) This egg smells rotten and is stone cold. (Currently Unavailable)
Vampire dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only "alive" at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. 8D DragonzZ

Kusuriuri 11-18-2008 03:10 AM

That should be all of them o: I did find a gif image of a Christmas one, I guess from last year or something, but seeing as I have yet to see anyone with it, I didnt include it. Theres also some zombie ones, but to my understanding, they only appear on your scroll Halloween night ._. So I left those out too. Aside from the summer one (Because Im not entirely sure), and the Vampire ones, these are all of the currently obtainable dragons.

And grats on the hatchlings blue o:

Kusuriuri 11-21-2008 11:20 PM

Update: Added dragon descriptions, just because :x

xD .

Kusuriuri 11-24-2008 01:57 AM

Description of common eggs added. When in the cave, at the start of every hour new eggs appear, and are blackened out, marked only with a question mark, and a short description. The description tells what egg it is.

Kusuriuri 11-24-2008 02:05 AM

Went ahead and added rares too. I had thought about finishing them up, but finding Summer/Vampire eggs is nearly impossible at this time, so I left them out. New Vampire eggs wont be appearing anyway, and Summers are very rare.

Also finally found a black and alt black egg side by side, so now I can finally post the differences of those. On the lookout for alt vine.

moffit 11-24-2008 08:36 AM

That helps a lot, I wasn't entirely sure what my gray one was. Thanks :3

Kusuriuri 11-24-2008 03:13 PM

Youre welcome lol o: it also helps determine what eggs are rare and what are common on the hourly releases :x

HolyAbyssal 11-24-2008 03:18 PM

ooh, this really helps meh :D

Kusuriuri 11-25-2008 12:51 AM

You're welcome o_o

I suppose theres really not much else to add to this anymore, until I find an alt vine egg :/ Or I may just have to breed for one myself after my vine hatches and matures .-.

Im also having a lot of downtime with the site right now o_o Odd

Kusuriuri 11-28-2008 06:36 PM

New update. Finally found an Alt Vine egg. I was browsing and saw two vines, one seemed a little darker, so I bookmarked both eggs and checked them days later, and sure enough, the darker one was an Alt hatchling. Its harder to tell on the Vines lol.

Also, Autumn eggs have been released! They are being released in the hourly drops, but for the lucky people who have Summer dragons, breeding these can result in Autumn eggs, so check the abandoned page too, you may get lucky.

I went ahead and added the Autumn egg and description to the rares list.

moffit 11-28-2008 06:56 PM

If you didn't have the eggs side by side with the alts, I doubt I'd ever be able to tell the difference. x.x

Kusuriuri 11-28-2008 07:29 PM

Yeah, thats why it took me so long to track down the alt vine, because the difference is even more subtle than the blacks. One just seemed suspiciously darker, so I bookmarked both so I could see if I was seeing things or one really was darker o_O The light I bookmarked hatched into a standard vine, and when I checked the other I bookmarked (Id bookmarked them as 'lighter' and 'darker'), it had become an alt vine.

The black atleast has somewhat of a different hue, I can distinguish an alt black egg fairly easily now, its slightly purplish. With the alt vine, just try to remember that the shadows on a standard vine egg blends in with the color of the egg itself, and with the alt, the shadow is more pronounced.

Shiki 11-28-2008 10:17 PM
