idk, my parents are leaving tomorrow until Thurs afternoon/evening to go somewhere else in the state for their anniversary? Maybe I can just set up a download on their computer rather than bogging mine down while I try to do shit.

And hope it doesn't shut down since my dad refuses to take it in and have that looked at. Seems like an obvious problem to me if the computer shuts down randomly at all, regardless of how infrequent it is.




And lol. I peeked into the TO forums earlier and saw people complaining about the pretty much the same shit they complained about when I was still playing. Pretty good sign to me that I don't ever need to go back.

My internet doesn't particularly affect gameplay that much. Sword of the New World took me about 3-4 days to download completely (iirc, when I downloaded it, it was two 2-3 hour downloads, and 5 seven hour downloads that I spread across a few days), and I never had any noticeable lag on it while I was playing. I patched it and played it about 7-8 months ago, no issues. I might lag for a couple seconds on a really populated map if I let off a big spell or something, but that was about it.

It just takes me effing forever to download shit.

...would it be any help to be able to download it from a different source? Like if I uploaded it somewhere where just you would be downloading it?

I doubt it. The problem is surely my end, changing the source is probably not going to do anything if I'm trying to download the same file.

Would be nice if I could find a download that separates it into parts so I could do it in intervals of like 2 hours or something, and hopefully cut down on the chance of the download failing. But for something only 1.6g, I probably won't find anything |: It's not that large of a file, it just takes f-ing 8-9 hours for me to download.

Uh. If you can split the file and upload them as several .zip files, that may work... I'm not really sure what the issue is, and what's causing the download to continually interrupt, so I can't say whether that would work on not.
