The game ads on left/right block forum's contents

I'm not exactly sure if this is considered a bug, if it's not consider it a suggestion?

As you can see in the below picture, when I clicked the "Display Modes" the pop-up window was blocked, in this example it's not exactly an issue as I can still select the mode, but the same thing would happen with when I click stuff like "Search this forum", and that became a bit of problem.




Also see these 2 pictures, you can see clearly when I enlarged a picture, part of it would be blocked by the ads.






I'm not asking you guys to remove the ads (in fact I quite like the way you put ads on left and right), but can you guys like make either the ads always stay at the very back, or the forum's contents would always appear at the very front? o.o

Have you tried to clear your cookies? What browsers you're using?

Try using CCleaner - Home to clear your cache and cookies, and then try to load the page/site to see if the ad problem still exists.

What exactly does this need to do with cookies? o.o
I'm using FireFox (which I just updated yesterday)

Also I ran the CCleaner just a few days ago too, but I don't recall any difference with before and after.

Btw I just tried with IE, it has the same problem too.

I understand what's going on, it's not an issue with your browser. I'll address this in the coming day or two -- I have to check some element ordering in the stylesheets.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. While we need the ads to sustain the site, my intention has never been for them to interfere with the use of the site.

Regarding the functionality hidden by the ads, I've fixed that. I'm afraid there isn't much I can do with the image resizer -- the forums aren't designed to handle images of that size and we've made some accommodation for viewing them at full resolution but I can't see a quick way to do this without restructuring the [noparse][img][/nopparse] bbcode tag.

At the least, this will only affect really large images in the first post of a thread -- other larger images will not be affected as they fall below the ads.

Sorry about the bump, but I'd like to point out that the ads don't even stay up now T.T It's permanently etched to the side.

That's a change that was implemented by our provider. I guess they want it to stay above the fold...

I've checked again and they do not intrude into site content. The ads are a necessary evil -- we have enough trouble paying the bills with them and this is the single best paying ad spot we have. Members always have the option of donating to remove all ads.

It's even worse now considering that the advertisments follow you about when you're trying to scroll up and down through out the page...

Eh.. I mentioned that this is something that can't be fixed -- the image resizer. The only way I'm going to fix this is by forcing all images to be <= 640 px in width.
