Couple of problems.

This has only started happening to me recently, but after I re-open firefox and the ggftw tab starts to load (I usually save ggftw and a couple of other tabs when I close ff) it always sends me to the 404 error page.

(/404.html)

It's not really a huge problem since I can just type in ggftw.com, but I was just wondering why it's started doing this.

My other problem as of late is when I haven't done anything on the site for a couple of hours, but firefox has been open ever since and I click to go to a thread or section of the forum, it has started going to the "Thank You for Logging In" page. Then it sends me back to the front page of ggftw instead of where I was last time, or to the 404 error page.

Any ideas why this started happening?

I've been getting this problem, too.

I will toss in a tiny suggestion related to the 404 page.. (since admins will be reading this thread anyway).

How about throwing up a cute picture in .htaccess for the 404 pages? I'm sure one of our great artists onboard would love to draw a little mascot or something. It makes the page so much more appealing. :3

The "thank you for logging in" redirect is because you're logged in with Facebook. It's the only way to log you out of ggFTW when you log in with Facebook. FB seems to love changing stuff when thousands of sites now leverage their APIs and leave us to try and fix it.

Ah, not surprised they would screw something up lol.

But I found out that if you get rid of ggftw "app" permission to link to your facebook, it'll stop doing that (even if you logged in ggftw normally it would still do it).

Yes, but that also kills your ability to log in with facebook and removes the FB icon =]

Ah well, better than having to "login" everytime I want to check new posts real quick. Haha.
