whirling/FF cancel getting me angry now

i haven't played my sieg in a while, but i can still use him. but whenever i do whirling/FF cancel, i get the sidestep right, and i get the >>A most of the time, but when i press kicking or crosscut right after >>A, sieg keeps pausing then he does it when the person's on the ground. help plz? i dunno why this is happening to me now.

Could you elaborate a little more? I don't understand what you mean about Sieg pausing. It's possible that you're not pressing the skill fast enough (it has to be immediately after dash A).

do it faster? thats all i can think of. Ive only gotten FF cancel to work like once.

when i do >>A, he holds that position (like doing >>A without pressing anything else) then he does the skill about a second later. i press the button right after >>A and it still does it a second later. i tried with >>AS and it somewhat worked. with >>AS kicking, i land everything up to the first kick. the 2nd and 3rd kick miss. FF cancel i still can't do that well. my sieg keeps doing >>A when i try FF cancel.

It's probably some kind of delay, or lag. I played my Sieg yesterday and I could perfectly cancel Whirling Sword (not FF, since I don't have it).

If you want an alternative skill, try Sky Slashing. Judging from the way you described it, there should be enough air time for the opponent to be high enough for SS to hit once, and low enough for SS to hit the 2nd time without giving the opponent a chance to react. After the 2nd hit, use kicking or crosscut (whirling sword, FDS, etc.).

eh... that's gonna phail me. my SS is level 5. guess i'm using IMS after it then...

Crosscut should still work even with a lv.5 SS, since it's not as height sensitive as some of Sieg's skills.

There should be absolutely no problem using a skill after dash A, so try dash A + skill after whirling/FF cancel, and AAS AA dash A + skill (just an example) and see if there's a delay on the second set of strings.

really? i tried crosscut after SS, and i go right under them.

1) You have to cancel it fast enough
2) impossible because of SS's changes (which means I could be wrong) <-- more likely

I've only tested out a high lv. SS during OB, so...

do u press right away? and when i use crosscut, i go under on the space, and half the time when i backdash, i lag or i attack in the direction i'm moving x_x looks like i gotta stay in PF for a while...

You could maybe try Backdashing after you cancel SS.

lol. i've never canceled SS before. i always used a skill after it.

Unless they made SS un- cancelable? If that isn't working, you could always try and use voke when you cancel SS, make sure you cancel the delay after by doing what I said above. Must be level 2+ if you didn't already know.
