Default The provoke chain guide.

provoke chain:

you, along with another knight with max provoke, work together to infinitely keep monsters aggroed to you both, making it easier for the rest of your party to attack those monsters.

first and foremost, lets look at the actual skill, provoke:

Provocation; bless skill

at max:

range: 80
hp: 30
aggro range: 80
aggro duration: 13 seconds
slow duration: 15 seconds
curse: slow
slow %: 19%
cooldown: 25 seconds

note: the range of aggro is a FULL circle around you.

so basically, from the moment you use provoke, monsters affected will be aggroed to you for 13 seconds.

the idea of a 'voke chain is when you use it, on the 12th second, the other knight will use his provoke. (a good way to find out when your aggro is going to wear off is when your cooldown on provoke is halfway)

make sure you call out your 'vokes so that the entire party knows, a majority of knights use F, 3, 1 ( go forward!) when they use it, and when the aggro wears off, F, 3, 2 (step back!)

also, make sure that if there are any other knights in your party, that they know not to use their provoke unless for some reason the chain is broken (cancel, lag, etc), i usually use F 2, 5 (attract their attention) to let that 3rd knight know to pick up the aggro, then when the 2nd knight's voke is ready, you can pick up the aggro off of him, and the chain starts over.

this is just the gist of it, this will be updated as much as possible.

You should mention the person voking should be running away from the monster, and someone should either rush and block, or mass attack (Preferably the second knight.)

thats too situational to mention, since sometimes the monsters may not even be in threatening range in the first place.

You can make like a "Different Situations" section where you put (obviously enough) different situations that can happen and wat to do in those cases. Just a thought ;P

then why would you be voke chaining in the first place?. most of the time, you chain something that is likely to kill the party otherwise. Cobolt Captain, Scorp, ETC.

I would also like to point out but this is more about the skill provoke itself is that while doing a voke chain the person with the current aggro should never walk out of aggro range (Your whole screen length basically) as it will cause the monster's aggro to revert to whomever is closest.

But yeah, mentioning how you should be walking away from the monster is slightly situational. It could be walking back and forth or taking turns blocking and attacking while it's voked and so on. You'll learn as ya go.

There is No "Best Time", You would use it when you see a giant mob (alot of monsters), or something that can kill your party (Cobolt Captains, Etc)

and dont double post.

Aggro range can differ by mob--see Kanhel for an example of a mob that can and will target players who are well off-screen. Be aware of this.
