Except now in the metagame it's probably closer to:

How to play a rock:
1. Scan surroundings and poke shot abit.
2. Get funnels used on you by a paper camping behind a wall.
3. Spend some time quick trying to get rid of them.
4. Lose half your health in the process.
5. Try to melee
6. Get hit by a Wing Ka's flashlight
7. ???
8. Profit

The evolution of papers, and flashlight suits has effectively made the role of a rock using melee hell, even now pubbing I rarely see rocks using melee anymore. It's almost entirely rocks that are amazing at range like BD02, papers, and scissors.

But in line with Kirov said, Chaos's danger is the fact that it can zone incredibly well with both homings and funnels, in addition to good mobility thanks to the MA mode. Even if it's been nerfed alot, a flowchart can't quite cover how efficiently Chaos dominates role archetypes.

You forgot the pure melee rocks which are die hard fans of meleeing.
Though it is painfully hard to melee with lag, worst thing is that it's random, sometimes its normal and at others the lag spikes, screwing my sense of melee and such. (Randomly MCAing gets me zbsed, even if they are not even facing me while the melee hits...)
People have only gotten scared of melee and as such are vulnerable as they have a mindset of people not meleeing now.
I was using a Brave and meleeing almost everything I saw and they were completely defenseless....

basically right now, to melee anything, you either need stealth, a decoy or suppressing fire to do it well. stealth isnt only dshc, its sneaking behind people with or without invis. without any of those, melee pretty much becomes a kamikaze situation, you will definitely die, its the issue of how many people you can take with you. its about time softmax made us some self destruct suits

I thought that's the original ideas behind the three element types? This game is a TPS after all, but before the funnel buffs this game plays more like a fighting game, where hurr durr melee pretty much dominates everyone and shooting only fulfill a minor supporting roll. (Imagine playing CoD or CS where knifes are better than guns?)

Tbh, I like the current meta, even with the major scissors nerfs. If brings back scissors and maybe rocks? to the role of avoiding fire while rushing, not hurr durr RUUUUSSHHHHH to WIN!

Side note:I personally think this meta also promote better strategy planning(aka movement around the map is also important: commando role)but hey, nobody cares as people nowadays are melee hungry(bring back our golden hurr durr melee days? Pwease?), and there are only a few people that really understands this.

That totally depends, but normally you probably don't wanna use it in Scenario mission since you only got 1 life and you'd die too fast.

It's an A rank, not AR. It's a good idea to try cap it in custom cap while capping SR.
