Any thoughts on the Chaos? capped one, and IMO, even with Reload up, it's crap

Jack of all trades suit. It's got average stats, but a pretty spread out weapon set. The micro missiles do as much damage as a regular beam rifle shot. I'm not even sure of what it's role is: Support? Flanker? Hell, with a def of 16.8, Distraction suit?

Pre-nerf it was a contender for strongest A rank paper.

Right now on TW:

1300 beam rifle, hax funnel damage (especially with the recent funnel buff making it easier to launch funnels), and above average melee for a paper.

PSA helps tankiness and reload up eliminates the biggest problem of the suit (funnel reload).

Funnel boosting also helps you hold off rocks.

Oh right, it has homing missiles too. those are just a bonus.

What exactly is average about the suit? Even the melee is above average.


Post nerf:

Can't say for 100% certain but prob the r2 w3 nerf doesn't do much, the missiles are really just bonus. The real nerf is the beam rifle down to what? 1200? Still strong.

Finally, a good reply. I thank you for that.

So the suit's more of a funnel suit than it is a missile launcher? I'll take that into account and work on my play style with it. I usually just use it as support.

The missiles are used to flush out campers, though with the funnel buff, this is less used.
And it's main damage comes from weapon 2, MA mode is used more for the mobility it brings.

typical chaos playstyle:

1. game start
2. press R
3. spam all missiles
4. press R again
5. send out funnels
6. spam beam rifle
7. repeat steps 2-6 after funnels reload
8. PROFIT!!!!

basically you use it as a support gunner/mid range firepower suit

Lol, the above playstyle applies to lots of suit. Even for rocks. Just switch some to "melee", and you have a perfect playstyle for rocks

the issue is that getting close enough to melee is getting harder and harder as the metagame develops

and i dont see much ABC suits with both funnels and homings
sure, change the "homings" to "beam rifle" or whatever, or change the funnels to beam rifle, etc
but there arent many with both funnels and homings
and thats what makes all the difference
