I'm trying to become better with melee rocks, so I've been playing my C2 Epyon. Is it okay just going with the C2 version or should I work towards a C3 version now? I've barely leveled it to special attack.

It doesn't really make much of a difference to be honest. I'll say just stick with C2.

Not everyone was born good at rock suits, even if you sux just keep playing them in pvp and you'll get the hang of it and be a better rock.

I've got my AR and my BR snipers fully leveled so they're a bit boring now, and I win with them too easily. So no joke, I am trying so hard to get better with Epyon. It's quite frustrating, but I'm slowwwwwly getting there. By tomorrow I should have skill 1 so then the defense is at least acceptable.

Epyon is a hard rock suit since it lacks range, leave it till you are more experienced imo. Easy to play units are better in the B ranks like red/gren frames and sandrock and deathscyhe. (altho ds aint much of a melee'er)

In my opinion, the some of the best rocks to use are often B rank ones rather than A ranks.

Yea, sure Sword Strike has a hax melee and Zeta AS having such versatility but I find it easier to play with something that has 3 lives when u need to get in and dirty alot of the times...

Reccomendations are Kampfer, Sandrock, and Red powered.
Fun troll units are Gyan (fun times) and Zaku Zeta (lol control shock)

Btw, Epyon gets more hits in if you MCA unless they changed it a few patches ago.

Agree, kampfer, sandrock and red powered are nice suits to play.

You should not dive in and play full melee suits at the start.

Play suits that has some range so you have something to fall back on.

Epyon has only 2 lives in DM, and in point matches, it cost 4 points. Not a good suit to start playing rock, and not to mention you'll drag your team mates down if you did not do much and just die.

I'll say start with the B rocks first.

I agree with hexi, the easiest rocks to play are, in fact B rank suits, since they are not as weak as C ranks suits and they also give you more retrys if you screw up, so start small and go big later

errr... epyon, The O AS, and a few other pure melee suits has 8 hit build in melee combo before knockdown since the beginning of their existence... MCA-ing with epyon can net you more hits than 8.

you probably have already noticed this but.... epyon really doesn't work that well in a place like gundam fight... you really have to be able to get in close without taking much damage... but if you do need to get close, i suggest transforming as soon as you spawn, and flying to the other side.... so that they can't hit you as easily...

as for A rank rocks... everyone knows sword strike and theO are annoying to deal with, but i'd stick with something like Zeta AS or G-3 to start off with because both are pretty versatile... and then maybe a Hyaku Shiki AR once you get used to A rocks... It has the same stats as AS Zeta when both are unleveled... and it feels like you can survive a little longer as both lvls up

However, even though they have the combos, I would prefer if their combo to be short, hit and run, hit and run, dun expose too much.

In this way, rock will survive longer in the game, especially in DM.

I always like to pick on opponent who like to do lonnnggg combo, so expose to back stab.

However, long combos are preferable in situations where enemy is left alone, stray from its pack, and has no special. Melee monsters like Epyon and God can munch on a stray enemy.

trust me, in matches where everyone knows what they're doing, there wont be strays or enough time to land full combos.

I'm always afraid I'll be caught when I'm playing swordstrike >< hardly ever do a full combo.... just 1-3 slashes then back away throwing the boomerang darts

That is too unrealistic especially on TW where people are too used to melee after melee after melee. = =; which is hardly the case on KR.
