I need help about the pros and cons of two different scissors.

Strike Freedom

PROS:

- Effective at every range
- Beam and ballistic weaponry
- Well rounded
- Reload up + fast reload times = unlimited ammo, pretty much
- Option for ranged aoe or melee spec
- SS rank, SWAG

CONS:

- KD beam kiting is your only defense in mode 1
- If a rock catches you with a full combo and you're not HP/DEF build you're probably toast

Akatsuki

PROS:

- Beam reflect = awesome against units with no ballistic weaponry.
- Full attack build does scary damage.
- Less of a spec magnet than SF
- (I think) has higher spec damage than SF - might be wrong.
- Decently quick melee

CONS:

- Anything other than beams tears you to shreds.
- Kinda low on shots without Reload Up
- Full attack builds do way more for the suit than HP/DEF, so you have to choose between either being a glass cannon and having to play conservatively or not being optimum spec and having a bit more room for error.

What stray said is definitely right. You can also add infinite boost and seeing enemies on radar to SF Pros. So it means that if a DHC is trying to get you from the back, you can see it even if it is cloaked. Those DHC that likes to play hide and seek will be seen on your radar as well.

to add on
akatsuki has nasty boost when skill 2 is on
he is really squishy
i believe he is more of a spec magnet than SF -.- SF is just a piece of shit who cant do anything quite right, the actual meta just destroys it and on the previous metas i still think he is overrated. his atk is quite low, akatsuki's atk at high ocs is insane, 40% a GN arms type D with w3, just nasty but he's a glass cannon

only problem akatsuki really has is the lack of ballistic weaponry.
if u want a real scissor (meaning it can do anything, while not excelling doing well in every aspect) get S Zeta, the most well done scissor in game.
-ballistics (homings)
-dash atk
-long ranged beam
-mid ranged beam
-melee

only cons is the lack of ranged sp and as always, being squishy and the late activation of skills

V2AB, now that it came out?
Sprays like a boss, fast melee, double-Ifield-no purge, BMG, flashlight and VSBR for second mode. A little low on ballistics, though. In this I-Field SR MA era that's not good.

If you play it like V2A, it's bound to get killed easily.

honestly, I feel mode 1 has better things to offer than the second mode in terms of rushing.

No, certainly not V2A mode, but it is a good kiting option if faced with something with just beams and with your team behind you.
EDIT: Is 007S/G's mode 2 melee range slightly bigger? The sword looks larger, certainly.

Yes it is, but mode 1 is better cause of the claw that travels so much faster than shenlong/dragons, as well as more range...

What? So Destiny KR has same melee range as Destiny TW?

Or are you talking about the boomerangs?

Because its melee range in TW doesn't seem to be anything special.

haven't seen nu in a long time, i'd still say NTD holds its ground, despite the buffs on nu, the majority of suits nowadays have ballistics (the ones being used) so field isn't the best mode to be one, not to mention every singe rock will just pwn it when its on alt, mode 1 has around no ballistics and u'll need 0 lag to make its full potential on switching, if u are foreign i suggest to go for NT-D since is one of the current strongest scissors, despite the nerf

Sazabi is still better than it even after all this. (how many times do they have to buff wep1 = =)
Fact.
Cause I field mode weps aren't great and the reload is terrible.
That and it cant use funnels then use I field.
So many restrictions make it average and never something great.
NT-D is still beast cause it has both ballistic and beam attacks in both modes, and the reload isn't terrible.
Oh and it has vet ranger to ward off potential rocks trying to melee.

Am I the only one who wishes that Unicorn NT-D wouldn't automatically jump back to w2 when you enter Destroy mode? Often times I get jumped into Destroy mode partway through a melee combo, but when I attempt to counter-melee, I've been swapped back to w2 so i just shoot them in the face instead.
