Issues patching up

heya guys, was wondering if any of you knew a way to help. My friend is trying to get SDGO working and has installed the launcher file. The launcher opens but nothing except the bottom half where the blue button shows anything.
He has tried the basic stuff such as reinstall/restart/run as admin yadda yadda
The top part with the pics and showing updates and stuff doesnt come up, he sometimes has just the dates come up tho.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

how long has he waited since if ur language settings isnt right, u wont be able to see any words that're supposed to be there.
When I installed, I thought I had the same problem but I just let it run on and it patched eventually.

He has let it sit for over an hour and nothing, I will try changing the regional settings to see if that helps at all

changing the regional settings didnt work either
