dont rush, except team does, with kyrios pew pew mg everything and counter with boost down, then MCA, SS is practically a pure MCA/SS style rock, if ur just starting it would be dificult for u to use it, as i say, the best teacher is experience
Go range most of the time. Don't use melee unless your sure you can hit them. I make this mistake a lot.
Learn MCA and SS.
wrong.
It's all about finding openings and chances and ur judgment of those chances.
Of course u use ur range weapons periodically to find those openings or to create them.
SS and MCA and turnslash(I cant do this well) are necessities for a basic good rockplayer.
Patterns and catching strategies are gained by experience(not diving experience).
Also, its meaningless to practice rock skills in a dive room.
There are also ranged heavy rock types but im generally talking about ur average rock.

the most common misconception of players here think that SS = animation cancel.
It uses animation cancel. But it isn't animation cancel. It stands for Sin Swap.
You create lag on purpose, So you make them think you hit them from far away, when your actually next to them. You create an after image which show you slide toward them.
It is best perform, the more laggy you are the better the effect. But this is widely consider as BUG.
------------------------
MCA is useless these days against AoE SP. They will hit you so forget it. If your against someone that have melee SP, then you can try it.
------------------------
The best thing to do for now, isn't learning ZBS, or MCA. Rather, it is best to just learn how to move, what route to take, which target to go after. Learn to conserve boost and not jump like Nukira. Use more Melee boosting.
After you get that, then you go for learning animation cancelling which helps with boosting, jumping, air catching...
Finally learn, counter SP timing and ZBS.
That is about it.
Or another way is simply camp Hexi, go to whichever room hes in, die first, then watch how he plays, since he uses a pure kamikaze style, if you like it just follow it. If not, watch some Napier's rock vids.
Napier's recent zeta vids:
------------------------------------
Slash zaku are from future webgacha.
PS: please use the search function more as well as look a bit harder.
I'm always scared if I do it at 180 I will get crit if I do not do it fast enough...
If I do 90 though...sometimes it messes up. For me 180 is almost guarenteed hit...
you do it with ur instinct. turn toward whichever doesn't have enemy. As well as has no target within 45 angle of your main vision.
Also you have to fine tune your mouse sensitivity and its dpi to your best performance. But just under the "speed hack detected" requirement so you can turn and react fast.

Whenever I do manage to land a ZBS properly [which is not often] the angle is around 135 degrees away from the guy. Mainly a precaution in case the guy's team is nearby...
SS always meant sliding slash for me :>
but its something u get for animation cancelling anyway
