yea, dont do the mouse wheel. Its really unreliable and hard to even do lol....I doubt anyone actually uses the mouse wheel to do SS...

So yea, do the double tap on both keys for less finger tangling.

That would be nice. I've been doing a lot of trainings trying to do MCAs on the training zakus, not sure if I'm doing it right so having someone in game show me/tell me what I'm doing wrong would be awesome.

Update:

Hit Sergeant major rank and got bumped into the expert pvp server.

Practically everyone here plays an A or an S rank. I'm still using the sandrock, C3 speed and OC5 def.

I find that I have to play a lot more support style now compared to the beginner server. Unless I hang back more and throw missiles I get killed pretty quick. Rarely do I get an opening to melee. Is this normal? Am I just supposed to play a little more defensive support as a B suit against A and S? I see some people posting here saying just throwing missiles = fail with Sandrock.

rather you have to be smart WHEN to pick your enemies. You don't just rush out without support. If you want to melee, be sure you have every support you have, or you're confident you can get out alive.

I can rush in with F91 and kill 3-6 people on average if I rush directly and melee......

Can't believe F91 is that durable...for me at least.

^Take account of the enemy skill level. I doubt if ur fighting all the pros in one team, you can do it easily.

If I'm fighting nubs, I can take all 4 at once. If I'm fighting the pros who actually know what they're doing, that's another story.

That's pretty much my only melee strategy right now. That and let them hit me and then SP then >.>

The DS/DSH/DSHC/Blitz strategy. I love doing this against people who bunch up together

More questions incoming.

1) I am getting hit by sp more and more now when I close in to melee. It's actually really annoying to work so hard and take all that damage to close to melee range only to hit once or twice and then get hit by sp. So am I just supposed to learn the MCA circle slash and use it everytime? Does it dodge all SPs or just the melee ones?


2) Sometimes when I get into melee range of a suit they just boost up and shoot me. Then they land and boost up and repeat. What is the best way to deal with this? Do I just need to get better at catching? Should I also try boosting behind them when they are in the air so it's harder for them to shoot me?

1) you can SP them too, don't be shy

2) its the standard bunnyhop tactic that newbies (including me) use across all online games
you can try to twirl around in circles under them or use your ranged weapon

I would so it's really easy to get caught up in the moment when you're meleeing, but if you take the time to think, you can usually figure out if the enemy has their sp or not. I would say at least half the time I'm specialed, I knew it could be coming but just attacked anyway. If you know an enemy is going to special you, you can often tease them into using it and back off quickly while they waste it. You can also lead with a special and catch them off guard, or cancel theirs. Often times I find that's a good solution to the problem.
