This is a guide to Jamming. Yea, I know Jamming normally means N-Jamming on EX2, but I didn't know what to call this. Since this method stops all enemies from doing anything, I'ma call it Jamming.
If you happen to want a mission reward suit very badly, and let the ends justify the means, then this is the method for you.
As it turns out, its quite simple, too.
Step 1: Get a team together.
Step 2: Start the EX mission.
Step 3: The host of the room hits a random grunt 5 times, so that he gets mission clear.
Step 4: The host of the room presses and holds CTRL + ALT + ESC for the remainder of the mission.
Step 5: Mission Clear!
It is important that only the host does this, and that he does NOT let go of the buttons until the mission is cleared.
The result of jamming is that ALL of the enemies in the mission will stand completely still, and just let you hit them. [But if you knock them down, they'll stay down.]
THE TASK MANAGER TECHNIQUE
It is possible to go for 5 minutes without holding the buttons down. Simply start the mission, begin jamming (Ctrl+Alt+Esc), then whilst holding these three keys down, press Del. This will open the task manager. As this forces a window change, SDGO will still think you're jamming. Thanks to 123bob for figuring this out.
ALL HAIL THE ALT+TAB
Hold Ctrl+Alt+Esc and then press Tab. If you're using Win7, the bar thing showing all the windows you have open should pop up. Simply click on window besides SDGO and the mission will freeze without you having to hold it down. Plus you an go do some work/browsing etc.
When jamming, the screen of the host will FREEZE. Do not panic, your computer has not died.
If the host lets go of the buttons or changes window before the mission clear cut-scene, everyone will most likely DC - use the task manager method if you wanna change window.
If anyone except the host tries to jam, everyone will DC. [Or at least for me >_>]
This does not work on all EX missions. This fails on the one in the desert.
This may cause the enemies to be spread out too much, e.g. EX 7 Part 1. It is recommended that for missions like these, you let the enemies spawn a bit first.
EX missions that Jamming doesn't work on:
EX 6 - The enemies are so freaking spread out its not funny.
- Partially- EX 7 Part 1 (Killing Strike Daggers) Doesn't leave enough time for shuttles if you jam too quickly after starting the level..
EX 2 Red Frame Powered Quest - The enemies are a bit too spread out to get the kill requirement.
