Default SDGO Detail Skill Effect Translation

Use only for those that care about their MS, and the actual mechanic behind the game. Also for those that want to know how to better play their MS and what to customize.

For those that are causal players or textbook players, PLEASE IGNORE.
For those that are on KR please ignore because some changes that effects KR has not been implemented in TW


First of all, the data are calculated in terms of Pixels. (lets say the entire MS ability chart to max out any 1 stat = 100 pixels, then we can do our calculation)

The test are done using an MS equipped Potential, and the simplified equation of (100 + Self Atk - Target MS Def) Then counting the pixels to get the data.

So to convert the data into normal custom points. You would need to know what MS your converting the data into, because S rank Custom increment is much less than C rank custom increment.

But speaking in terms of pixels, the skill adds the same amount REGARDLESS OF MS RANKS.

The data are gathered from geeks that have done countless tests on the game's mechanics already and has 90% accurate data.

Without further ado, here is the translation guide.

Please note that: Skill activation condition and obvious effect are not included such as Fortress EX gives non-flinching, or Radar from NT awakening etc.

Attack up ---------------------- Attack up 10 pixels
Defense Up --------------------- Defense up 15 pixels
Agility up ----------------------- Agi up 23 pixels
Speed up ------------------------ Boosting Speed up 7%. Walking Speed increase 15%
Reload Up ------------------------ Reload speed up 40%
Booster Extension ---------------- Boosting Duration up 50%, Boosting recovery up 25%
Phase-shift armor ---------------- Ballistic weaponry damage is decreased by 30%
Laminate armor ------------------- Beam weaponry damage is decreased by 50%
I-field ---------------------------- Beam weaponry damage is decreased by 75%
Veteran Infighter ----------------- Long range weaponry damage is reduce by 80%. Knockdown Value increase by .125
Veteran Ranger ------------------- Close range weaponry damage is reduce by 50%
Veteran Sniper ------------------- Mid-range weaponry damage is reduce by 25%
Fortress C ----------------------- Defense up 52 Pixels, Boosting speed down 7%
Fortress B-EX -------------------- Defense up 57 pixels, Boosting speed down 7%
Enhanced Close-Range Protection - Close range weaponry damage is reduce by 30%
Art of Fighting: Mobile Suit -------- Melee damage increase by 20%
Art of Fighting: Gundam Fighter ---- Melee damage increase by 25%
Art of Fighting: Undefeated of the East - Melee damage increase by 25%
Armor Piercing Rounds ------------- Ballistic weaponry damage increase by 30%

Search distance up --------------------- Search distance up 6.67%(10 space)

MS Skills:

Sonken Gundam Weapon 3 -------------- All damage reduce by 40%


To be added when TW gets more skills for testing.


Notes:

1.
The maximum any unit can stack on additional defense from skills is 60 pixels. Anything above that is discarded. Therefore, if you stack Fortress A 57 pixels, with Defense command 20 pixels, you will only get 3 pixels from Defense command and no more. The additional goes wasted.

2.
SP damage can stack up to 75%. So if the unit has SP awakening you can stack it with another SP skill part. But it will only increase up to 75% and not 100%.

3.
Reload speed are first calculated from whichever skill gives the highest reload speed value. Any additional reload up skill stacking on top will give additional 10%. The fastest reload stackable currently is up to 70% (Precision Snipe (50%) + Defense Command (10% stack) + Reload up (10% stack)

4.
Boost duration can only stack up to 100%. It is capped at 100%. If you stack it up to 100%, the MS's boost recovery effect will be negated. You must add a NT awakening skill part, for the boost recovery effect to be activated again.

5.
Potential awakening will yield an average of additional 15% more damage per hit. The additional SP gain from having this skill, is NOT YET IMPLEMENTED.

6.
Same skills will never stack. Like Defense command + Defense Command.

So in reality, using EX Atk or Def is useless for anything below S-Rank? Am I interping that right :S? (I am presuming 1 point for an S-Rank in say Atk/Def = 1 pixel)

I have always wondered...

If in a situation there's two or three units having the same skill activated at the same time, will the effect be stacked?

For examples: two T3 with Cry of the Peacecraft on, 2 units that both have Assault/Defense Command on

This information seems rather questionable in places, as Assault Command does indeed add to booster duration.

Urg. So what? Are we doing wrong for adding def to Fortress units?

Since Fortress adds a fix amount and not variable percentage, I think I'll troll with full HP instead from now on.

^^^ - I think it meant skills .... Cus OC are the base which is not included in the 60 cap

anyway ... I read on bahamut few weeks ago that EX Atk/Def up are only worth it for B/C ranks ...
Its the same reason as S/A ranks get less effect per custom point compared to B/C
Even on B/C it only adds around 2/3 custom points worth.... not a biggie

For everything else, its better to choose 'booster recovery' for any noticeable effect.

*note- I did not do any testing personally

Which is why I am contemplating HP over Def. The minute amount of def you get from OC def means that there is a chance that OC HP is actually better.

I'll need to do some tests.

The additional EX def or Atk is the same for ALL RANKS. If you are desperate for 1 C point worth of Atk or Def for S rank OR .75 C point of an B - C rank. Then go ahead. But to me, it seems wasted.

There had been tests done, that show that HP might be better than DEF in some situations. However, because HP is highly discounted after Custom points, the general rule of C3, OC 6 DEF is established. It is often the best build for A to S ranks.

Yes, I have done test for HP and Def, but those are on non fortress units. HP tanks slightly much better than Def during the Custom stage, while it is opposite for the OC stage.

HOWEVER, for fortress units, the amount of Def added during the OC stage has been lowered, and visually it adds roughly as much as HP. If that is the case, then a pure HP fortress unit may actually be tankier than a pure Def fortress unit.

Like I said, i'll be conducting my own personal test regarding this.

Even with that correction, the information is still extremely questionable. Measurement in pixels and not numerical values is rather depressing. If anything, it tells us some things, but has evidence that this information should be taken with a grain of salt due to inaccuracies in some areas.

If you use the so called "numerical value" you can divide those numerical value by .3 which will get you a pixel value. 99.99% of all MS's base "numerical value" can be divided by .3 which shows their true pixel value. That value then in term can be used to add or subtract these pixel values

But if you seriously doubt this information, then I would like to see your view on the correct values and your experiments done on these values ^_^ It would greatly help accelerate the process.

Agree with this, personal experience has showed that what is written in OP isnt necessarily 100% true but could be used as a reference.

The testing were done on TW, so compare to KR data that had gone through series of revision could be the reason for the difference.

But if you could gather some objective data besides personal experience from KR would greatly be appreciated. So I can convert the data and see what cause the difference and perhaps come up with better data with other tw players

Indeed what with the many different suits released they could have just readjusted the EX point factor or something to balance it more, but anywho I doubt I'll go through the process of data gathering and testing because it doesnt really matter much to me if an attack up skill gives me 9 or 11 points, as long as I know it increases my attack then thats good enough for me. Good luck with further testing though.
