We all knew what went on with the Gundam Fanfic "Tears of the Cosmos" from last time. Alien DNA, Bio-mechanical suits, and scandals, all shaped the face of the Cosmos universe. Between the seemingly endless struggle between mankind and the invading alien race tells a story that transcends between this universe and beyond.
This thread is the remake of the fic I made in this thread /forum/sd-gundam-cap...rs-cosmos.html and it shall retain the characters featured in the first fic. The only real difference between the first fic and this one is that the mechs are no longer restricted within the Gundam multiverse! You can now create a mech of your own based on the specs below.
Mecha Creation Guide:
1. Model type:
A. Artillery/Heavy Weapons type - Features little or no mobility at all. These are the stationary mechs positioned at a strategic point of the battlefield to provide cover fire for their allies. Their weapons are usually delivered to them from the hidden parts of the battlefield and were not given during the sortie.
Anti-Invader Heavy Machine Gun Standard Issue
- Can be hand-carried or placed on a manned turret.
"Zeus" Heavy Railgun
- Standard issue sniping weapon. Calculations could be done manually or via the built in AI of the Frame.
Anti-Invader Utility Rifle, Standard Issue
- A large rifle that provides better mobility in combat. Shell rounds only.
(This is the mech that usually has no restrictions to any shooting weapon but is only provided with two folding knives on its waist)
Models Available: X02 Machine Version or ExTR02 Type R Bioweapon Version (Alien Mech)
B. Assault Type - This model features lighter armor for better mobility. They are also given smaller rifles in combat, as well as a pulse-resonator blade (knife or sword type) to cut through the invaders' thick armor.
Standard Issue Assault Rifle/Anti-Invader Utility Rifle
- Could be fixed with a bayonet.
- Emits the same pulse field as the invaders and neutralizes the particle formation in the enemy's armor.
Anti-Unit High Explosive Grenades
- Could be anti-particle as well as shrapnel explosives.
C. Custom - Awarded to the characters in the previous story like Jin Walker, Rin Asanagi, and Bryan Shinto, as well as the Antagonists like Leongz, Shin Sakura, and Xalis. They are still the Bio-mechs, but with added custom weaponry as well as a unique feature called "Genesis" which is basically a 5 minute Godmode ability triggered by the genesis-type pilots that has been exposed to the Alien DNA.
Among the known Genesis Modes were:
Overheat - The mecha glows a bright red and melts anything it comes into contact with. Xalis consumes a cigarette to activate this.
Time Walker - Jin Walker's Genesis mode where his Frame moves at supersonic speeds.
Type-Zero Genesis - Type-0 transforms into its true form and can command any Invader unit.
(This is the ability given to any character that has a Genesis mode. Its up to you to create what ability you want, as long as it isn't some sort of plot-breaking ability)
Genesis mode suits can only be ExTR Heavies, EXTP Assaults, and other Alien Race forms.
Basically Heavies are Type R Reaper Male Drone Invaders while Assaults are Type P grunt Invaders turned into heavily customized fighting mechs. The Type S Shade (see below) could also be used but only given via a first-come, first serve basis.
Human Alliance Liberator Organization (H.A.L.O)
- the independent group that governs the three-layer orbital defense ring that protects the Earth from invaders. They use a specialized frequency emitter that supposedly concentrates the enemy attacks into the ring and prevent them from pushing through the absolute line of defense. There are at least 500 military sectors in the defense layers, but there are also some civilian installments in the area. When there is an invader attack, the buildings descend into the second layer and the first layer becomes an active war zone. Powered by the combined resources and technology of the United Nations, the HALO is a force to be reckoned with even against the massive numbers of the fierce parasites.
The Invaders - the large, parasitic, humanoid moth-like creatures that originated from the spear that pierced the moon. These invaders has three types:
Type P (Phantasm) - The normal wingless grunts. This is the most common type of invader that usually attacks in massive numbers.
Type R (Reaper) - Called the 'male' type of invader. These winged behemoths are four times larger than the Type-P and commonly use large, irregular two-handed blades as their weapons of choice. Their massive swords can cut through at least 10 mobile suits in one swing. The Males are the Queen's drones and each attack swarm is composed of at least 1 Male per 20 Phantasms.
Type S (Shade) - These type of invader is uncommon and is rarely seen in the battlefield. There were only less than 10 recorded sightings of Shades throughout the history of the war, but each appearance of one greatly affects the outcome of the battle. Type S invaders are the smallest of all the types and is also the hardest to kill out of the three. Type S has the ability to turn into fine mist when attacked, and can only be destroyed via a nuclear explosion or a direct hit from an energy cannon. The Type S also has the ability to attach into its target digest the target body in mere seconds. Once it already latched itself in a target, the object, particularly a mobile suit only has roughly 57 seconds before it is completely taken over and digested by the parasite.
Type M - Also known as the Queen. The Queen is in charge of the parasite's reproduction and could lay several million eggs a day. She is responsible for the ungodly amount of the invaders attacking the planet. However, the enemy numbers seemed to have dwindled over the years, probably due to the aging Queen unable to produce as many eggs as before.
Genesis Strain - The special mobile suit pilots that were exposed to the alien DNA. They have the ability to enter 'Genesis' state and supposedly 'awaken' their mobile suit's true ability for a limited time. Continuous use of 'Genesis' either drives the pilot insane or leads them develop a mutation that ultimately causes their death.
Genesis Strain Sector-85 - The mobile suit pilots assigned to Sector 85, particularly to Block Ø located in the first perimeter.

Appearance: Asian. Stand 5.4 feet tall, slim muscular build. Black straight short hair, black drowsy-ish eyes. Commonly wear white hoodie with gray long pants.
Personality: Lawful Lazy
-Name is an alias.
-Volunteered to be infected to combat Invaders.
-Succeeded in being infected albeit with an unstable affinity when using Bio-mechs.

-Purged equipment can be used in Genesis mode but are often abandoned in favor of beam-spam save for the last 2 in the list for certain situations or when the pilot find it necessary to keep the mirror bits undeployed for extra protection.

Parts of the armor reconfigured, giving the machine a much slimmer appearance much like majority of the Bio-mechas as well as significantly boosting its performance up to the level of its archtype. Armor that previously acted as restraints become the machines most dreadful weapon; Acting as mirror bits. Duration on how long the pilot is able to keep this form up is dependent on how high the pilot is able to keep the Genesis factor up high enough to avoid any complications.

Appearance: Short-medium length black hair. Black eyes. Medium build. Asian.
History: Became a pilot at age 18 and emerged as one of the most skilled pilots of his batch. Picked as one of the first to be experimented with in the Genesis Research Program and the test pilot of the first S-Type Mech. Tremendously skilled but makes rash decisions despite maintaining a calm "I don't care" demeanor, cracking jokes and such". Seems detached for the most part but cares dearly for his fellow pilots despite being feared by them for having such strange powers.

Excess biomass stored at base of arm i.e shoulder/torso part, capable of self repair)
-Acid Discharge(Discharges specific Enzymes/Chemicals used by type S invaders to digest prey, limited range, digested biomass easier to absorb)
Biomass collects and hardens at forearm in a blade form. Excellent armor slicing capabilities. Blade can be extended via extra biomass. Also grants some protection to right arm.
Ranged impaling and grabbing/hooking. Range limited by available biomass. Exists as a regular hand(no claws) when unextended. Able to handle conventional weapons as long as unextended.
Defensive weapon. Biomass collects and hardens at forearms and covers fists as well. Shield integrity and size depends on available biomass. Makes a decent boxing glove.
Allows handling of normal weapons and does well in quick hand to hand situations.
=Any other imaginable weapon/hybrids of the above(the listed ones are more commonly used)
Note: The forming of ranged weapons via shape-shift is impossible as biomass will rapidly dissipate when detached from host/source. That and beam forming a beam weapon is a little too unrealistic.

In the event of catastrophic failure etc. the pilot retains the ability to use the type S ability of turning self to mist as long as still biolinked to the suit, as a method of escaping. Doing so fatigues the pilot greatly, veteran S type pilots do not experience said fatigue. Pilots who are biolinked to a type S suit for long terms gains the ability to shape shift minor parts of their body as well as misting while not biolinked due to the transfer of alien strains of dna. Also facilitates self regeneration to a certain degree.
General Look: Mostly mechanical looking with a rugged look(Armored Core-ish) and many square edges except for the right arm, which looks a lot more organic. Medium weight looking with medium amount of armor. Head is a single black T-visor type with cooling vents protruding back and a horn. Visor itself is white. Left arm looks square-ish with spines on shoulder. 2 fin type verniers on back, right next to back mounted weapons. Legs are bipedal and have a sleek design with sufficient bulk to make them noticeable but not enough to make it look fat. Right arm is covered in spiny carapace and much more rounded instead of square. Wires and tubes protrude out of the right arm, connecting it to the torso area and the biocomputer for pilot interaction, monitoring etc. Exposed areas give a clear view of the biomass within which is basically flesh. Hardened biomass has the same color basically but with a metallic glossy look.
Metal is black with some white network lines, white carapace on the whole right arm and hands and also extending a little to the torso, a red decal on left shoulder depicting rank(chevrons and stuff) and a red emblem just under which depicts a knife jammed through an invader head.
Genesis Type (Y/N): Y. Shift-Brawler.
-Pilot gains increased reflexes to the point of having instant response. Suit goes into overdrive to facilitate this, increasing speed and power. White lines on suit and eyes become red and glowy. Cancels loss of biomass through shape-shifting right arm and allows absorbtion of biomass without direct contact as well as speeding up absorbtion. Sufficient biomass allows the "Bio-Armor" Shapeshift, coating the entire suit in hardened biomass(minus a few parts) and effectively turning the entire suit into a massive weapon generator.
Heavily tilted toward melee combat with the right arm and the large pulse blade. Also uses the grenade launcher frequently in any range for massive damage. Assault rifle mainly used for mid range combat and grunts.
Background: A time traveler from the future (same as last one)
An innovator that looks like Hinagiku from combat butler but with brown hair and grey eyes, about 6'5", wears a black suit and slim body build as well. She also behaves like Hinagiku Katsura. She is a smart commander and very skilled with her suit. However, the time travel placed sever stress to her mind and created a clumsier and airhead personality, similar to Isumi Saginomiya.
EXTM02 - IXA
-upgraded from Weissritter
-retains Harute's mobile suit head.
-Wings have been replaced with Wing Gundam Katoki wings
-Color Scheme changed to black with red eyes.
1 x Caladbolg: Weissritter's modified "Zeus" Heavy Railgun that is used in long range fights, can split into separate Anti-Invader Utility Rifle, Gáe Buide and Gáe Derg which are close range and mid range fights. Caladbolg fires beams while Gáe Buide and Gáe Derg fire ballistic. Gáe Buide can act as a shot gun and Gáe Derg can act as a bazooka. Both can be equiped with Pulse-Resonator Knives.

Appearance: White Hair, wears a Black with Golden-lining mask to cover his face. Average sized body/weight/height.
Clothing: Navy-Blue uniform, Black Pants, Gold Watch.
History: A corrupted but disciplined person. He is the leader of his squad. He strives to find a formidable foe that will stand up to him in a one-on-one sword fight combat. He would only disobey his orders if the orders don’t match his own believes or if he encounters a foe that is worth fighting. He chooses his own path for his personal reasons which remain unknown to everyone, even to his loyal and faithful squad members. He pretty much keeps all his issues to himself and does not share it with anyone else. His personal mech, the LeON was first started out by his father but never completed. His father stopped the project when the core of the system got infected by a mysterious technology which he claims to be a virus of some sort. Leongz’s father abandoned the project and locked it somewhere safe since he couldn’t find the time to scrap the project and it was too dangerous if he got caught by the government for building his own mech for personal use. Leongz found out about the LeON many years after and he then proceeds to find the safe and blueprints of the LeON, he worked on it and resumed building the LeON based on his father’s blueprints. He did however, made some drastic changes to the unit but the unit had never sortied even once until . . .
The internal core of the suit has Alien-like-Techs but the external parts of the unit looks 100% like a normal mech that isn't related to Alien/Genesis at all.
[*]Head: Would look something like Master Gundam/Grungust Type-0’s Head.
[*]Torso: Heavy, thick, strong and bulky armor which provides solid defense and has a built in LeON Hell-Blaster Cannon.
[*]Arms: Have some spikes on both of its shoulders. Solid arms, serves only 1 purpose which is to swing the Scimitar/ZANKANTOU around. 2x Homing-Heat Stiletto is stored in both arms and can be used as a melee weapon or launched as a range homing-type weapon. (Firing style is similar to Gundam Alex’s forearm Gatling gun)
[*]Legs: Heavy and durable legs that are not easily destroyed.
[*]Booster/Backpack: Large-Sized Booster, enables LeON-Type-X to boost faster than normal units despite the huge and overall bulky size. The booster/backpack is also capable of storing 16x Homing-Heat-Stiletto.

(Fires a beam projectile from the chest, the output is adjustable before firing. Fires burst-shotgun type beams at close range but also has the option of firing like your everyday flashlight for long range combat)

(The suit can self-repair itself to a certain extent. Taking a fatal blow will still result in death regardless of the ability.)

(When the Pilot’s will to fight is at its peak, to go all out and to never give up, The LeON and the pilot will both roar simultaneously like a beast and the Scimitar then turns into a ZANKANTOU. The speed and defence of the LeON is further enhanced and the ZANKANTOU remains until the pilot’s will to fight drops or the pilot gets terminated.)
Colour Scheme/Decals: Most parts are painted in Black and Navy-Blue, trimmed with Gold-linings on each part of the suit. Booster and Beam outputs are all Dark-Red in colour. Gold coloured eyes. Has a Blood-Red-Crown decal on its chest.

Age: Somewhere in 20's
Appearance: Black shoulder-length hair, beard similar to Jecht's, 5'8ft tall
History: Trained as a child soldier by force and developed a sense of craving for killing as time passes. Threw away his past and embraced a grim fate.
Mecha Model/Type (include weapons/abilities etc):
Destroyer. It's cockpit looks like an ordinary one but with a cigarette dispenser and lighter for his Genesis mode.
Weapons: "Annihilator" battleaxe. Can be split into two for dual wield (Katsuie Shibata from Samurai Warriors) whenever he wishes. Destroyer's hands can also be a weapon when in Genesis mode (Overheat). Grabbing a mobile suit and melt it to death.
Genesis mode effect: Overheat - The mecha glows a bright red and melts anything it comes into contact with. Xalis consumes a cigarette to activate this.
Color Schemes/Decals: All black, red eyes with red linings. Kanji of "kill" on it's left arm and "brutality" on it's right arm.
