A little rant about fans and haters
Just something I wanted to get off my chest, because it keeps annoying me...
First on the subject of haters: it's all fine and normal that you don't like something (be it a movie, a book, a video game or whatever, really), but there is a huge difference between providing constructive criticism ("I don't like x and here's why") and saying "x sucks and you're all losers for liking it!"
On the other side, we have rabid fanboys and fangirls who refuse to acknowledge the flaws of their favourite work and will lash out at anyone who dares say a negative thing about it - even if it's legitimate - thus starting stupid flame wars.
Chill guys. Chill. We all have different tastes and we like different things. Nothing is perfect, nothing will ever appeal to all people, everything has flaws - so just go have fun playing your favourite game, watching your favourite movie, reading your favourite book, etc., instead of flaming each other, kay?
It's all probably obvious for most of you guys (I hope), just the world would be a much nicer place if more people realized these things.
