I used to play myself, lol. But I quit around April because I noticed it becoming too mainstream. So I spent my last 300 mil on Dark Scrolls and blew it all up. The best 300 mil I'd ever spent. I'm glad I never contributed to all the publicity by not spending any money on NX. x]
but on topic: i think it's ok they advertising. why not? and you know when the ppl who see the MS ads go to nexon.net they'll see mabinogi and stuff too. and they advertized audition on MTV.

I suppose a lot of people would wanna argue that (No flames here prz), but in all honesty, even now, I dont see much difference in the community now then what it was when I played o_O And my dad uses Basil a lot too, and theres plenty of times he'll contact person that won one of his auctions, or he won one of theirs, and the person will make up an excuse that 'they're a friend playing the account,' then log on and never come back on o_o Ive been in here watching enough times to see that happen more than once lol.
That's because maple story is boring. (Unless you're a hacker, lol.)
Amen, and Maple has been mainstream for at least a year. Why rant about it now? That's why you heard about its fail when you learned about it, because the basic idiot found it in the mainstream.
I don't have any problems with Maple Story going mainstream and advertising everywhere. It's only when their ads says stuff like: "Get away with murder!" or some other weird stuff that bothers me.
Trickster ads are worse, in my opinion, since they don't even make sense. Just a slide show of colors D;
As for old people playing games; my entire family--aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, parents, are pretty game-oriented. We still pull out that Super Nintendo and finish DK1 or DK2 in one sitting every now and then, lol. Nothing wrong with playing games unless you're neglecting your responsibilities.
you know i downloaded MS and around lv.16 i got bored with it... game just plainly sucks... too much grinding and too much people calling other people noobs or newbs or even noobzors(to me only though...)
I personally like Maple, except for the grinding part. There is no problem with it being mainstream, it was expected, maple is growing too fast, like a boomtown, but obviously, people will start to lose interest, the aspects of Maple won't be as good as other games out there so people will leave, and like a boomtown, it will eventually die off and become a ghosttown.
Well, maple was fun way back in beta (that was what..4? 5? years back), but then they had to do a wipe when they moved to an official release and I never did go back to playing it ._.
Also, gaming past 20 is highly possible (I would know, lol); you just can't play as much as before (college ftl).
Lol, I was just on Basil listening to their loldrama about how the patch is so fail and glitchy. Eventually made me go to the main site. In an add it said:
"And go tell you uncool friends to come to our free download game. It's free! Plus, what better are they going to do online?"
