stupid brother and erm... wtf sister-in-law

First of all, i was going to call her my retarded sister-in-law, but that would be an insult to any mentally challenged person in the world.

So, i get a phone call from my brother last month... "I'm getting married".. i had just found out about this girl a week before.. he had only met her about a month before that.... the girl's a stripper who looks 15. She obviously doesnt do a good job because him and her are living on her grandmothers couch.

SOOOO... the b**** decides to post on facebook about how much she hates my brother and she wishes to kill him, so of course, my family gets defensive. Dont post that shit if you have his family on your friends list. it's common freaking sense. Instead, she took it to be us attacking her and that we're all bad people.

I find out today that she beats my brother up. He posted about his newly busted lip and what caused it as if no one would care. OOOH was he wrong, it sent my sister off on a tangent. Now, because my sister cussed her out for beating up "her little brother", she cried to my brother who then took the abusive lame ass excuse for a wife's side.

The best part... my brothers a freaking MARINE... some marine he is.. lets his wife beat him.. wow, i knew my brother was stupid, but this is an all new level of stupidity

I've had my own share of family members making idiotic mistakes. An uncle even married a stripper, who is now cuckolding him. My advice? Let them be. Some lessons are best learned the HARD WAY.

Yeah, i'm staying out of it as best that i can, it's just really frustrating to have to hear my sister so upset about it and him trying to defend the ***** that he still cant understand why we wont accept her as our sister-in-law.

Word of advice to anyone with siblings, if you're planning on getting married, and you're close to your family, brother(s) and/or sister(s).. Let them know more than a day in advance that you plan on getting married and even if you know they cannot make it, at least invite them, it's the gesture that means something, otherwise you were obviously in the process of hiding something.

No one likes to be told they're wrong, so it really doesn't surprise me that he won't listen to his own family, who know him way better than any stripper who beats him. I agree with Cath though, if you're not getting involved that much anyway (or trying not to) it might just be best to keep it that way. Just don't be surprised if he comes to you if it all goes wrong, but I guess you can have the satisfaction in saying "I told you so".

That's not always the best solution. You stay out of it, and then they come to you and say, "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING? YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST HELPED ME"

You'll get sick of trying to talk some sense into people eventually. That's the part where you let them wallow in their crap and come around once they start flailing. Once you drag them out, they're more receptive to hearing you.
