Overkill

I got a big gash between my eyes when I hit my head at an end table besides the bed at my grandparents' house (I was playing my PSP after lights out. I accidentally dropped it under the bed. By reflex I rolled over to get it and my head hit the corner of the wooden endtable). It was bleeding a lot but it stopped soon after.

Anyways, the next day my family saw the wound and went all paranoid. Wasn't the old tried-and-tested treatment for wounds just soap, water, and bandage? But they decided to play doctor on me. I can understand the peroxide and iodine....but what's with the cream and antibiotics? I mean, it's just a flesh wound. I get cuts and bruises worse than this all the time. I'm not gonna take 2 pills a day for the next week just for a minor cut. And I already covered it with a bandage, please don't ask to "see it" every hour or so.

Sigh, this is what I get for having doctor grandparents, nurse cousins, and a schoolteacher aunt ~_~

But wait what, taking pills for a small cut? Are those pain killers or something? Never heard of pills for wounds.
