Stop killing off characters gd it

I've been reading this manga (Akame ga Kiru) for awhile now. It ain't shits and giggles in happy land but it's probably the best I've read recently. The tragedy tag just doesn't do it justice. It takes it and shoves it down your damn throat after you shed tears then strangles you while you choke. YOU WANT TO BE ATTACHED TO YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER? Author plays Russian Roulette to see who dies a brutal death soon.

I do recommend the manga although it makes me rage ~_~

I decided to read a few chapters (about 10) after looking at this thread, and it seems like the deaths and "is s/he gonna die soon?" feeling are really the only thing keeping this manga going, with the cliched to death (from personality all the way down to appearance) characters and generic secret organisation to overthrow the corrupt government plot.

I didn't mean to bash, but this is discussion about the constant dying in this manga lol.

Any story willing to off one of the good characters earns at least a few points if it creates an impact on the audience.
