The next time I see people take the elevator to the 3rd floor without holding or carrying anything heavy or bulky, I will personally cut their limbs off so they have to take the elevator anywhere.
So, in my dorm building the 2nd floor is actually the main floor. The 1st floor is the "ground" floor and takes you underneath the building to get to the laundry room. It really pisses me off when people decide that it's ok to take the elevator up to the 3rd, 4th, and (sometimes) 5th floor. I'm like, "You bastards have two legs. Use them." I'm here trying to get the the 6th floor, and it's more than annoying when people decide to make it stop on all the preceding floors.
I know I've probably ranted about this last year, because this isn't new to me. I lived on the 3rd floor of another building, and I'd never take the elevator unless I was bringing luggage back and forth or doing laundry. And sometimes these people are coming back from the gym with a cellphone and diet coke, taking the elevator up a floor or two while I stand there carrying a hamper full of laundry giving them mean looks. Btch, I ain't stingy. I'm just pissed off at your lazy-ass.
